  • @johnnybaby1979

"Here Comes The Night" peaked on the charts at #21 in late January, 1979. : )

  • @beatlefan64 Nick Gilder is making a lot of head waves lately. His #1 hit "Hot Child In The City" is featured in a new commercial for LA Ink. And now everyone is searching for it on YouTube. Maybe it will be a big hit all over again in 2010!

  • @ShelterDogs

You never know, it could possibly be a hit all over again. I was searching around Nick's official site a couple of nights ago and was surprised to discover how many TV shows and movies have used "Hot Child."

  • @johnnybaby1979

I was 14 in 1979 and this casette and the kings were a huge influence on me. But there was something about Nicks voice and songs...man! And yes they were new at that time. AWESOME!

  • @johnnybaby1979 It was the follow-up to Hot Child In The City and it was early 1979 when it peaked

  • @johnnybaby1979

this was the 1 st single for Nick Gilder but it didnt do as well as Hot Child In The City tho I prefer this song personally. Also check out the B-side, Got To Get Out on this same album and a tun called Roxy Roller recently featured in the opening credits of The Runaways movie. I think I won this album at the fair throwing darts. Glad I missed and didnt get the blue stuffed bear now.

  • This is such a cool song. Thanks for pointing out the T rex sound, you're right and I love it. I had this on a Ktel album, very good one, also had Baker Street on it. Nick Gilder is very underrated. His first three albums, one with Sweeney Todd, are excellent. Frequency is alright.

  • Yes, I remenber 70's, lisening on my am. quality music. old days

  • nick is a really cool guy in real life.

  • I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I absolutely Loved this single. I bought it at the record store. Several stations in Alabama picked up on it immediately after Hot Child. Can't believe it didn't do better on the charts because it was an excellent rock tune. Whatever happened to Nick?

  • This song is an underrated 70's classic....very T-Rexish......I remember hearing this in Vancouver when I was 11........still sounds good 30 years later.

  • I agree it definitely has a T-Rex flavour to it, probably one of the reasons why I like it so much. Fantastic song! Love it!!!

  • The Best Of Canadian Classic Rock

  • god, i'd forgotten about this song. haven't heard it since it was on the radio. thanks for posting it.

  • Shit is dope - thanks. I own the album but never even listened to the whole thing - just kept playing HCITC over and over! This track is great too.

  • Such good song!!!

  • I am touched

  • just heard this song for first time- i love it!

  • this album is awesome, very underated and lost in time. this guy had a very girly voice but the songs are the best.

  • Yeah i know, where i'm from ppl thought it was a chick singing this, not only that ppl still are convinced that it is a chick to this day lol,if they only knew there artists huh,bi the way thx for the comment,be safe and a good life! :)

  • @tecnoborg75 Newsflash buddy .... This song is 33 yrs old . Great song.

  • Anybody know where I can download this entire album?

  • Great song!!! Bryan Adams replaced Nick Gilder in Sweeney Todd after he went solo to do the "You know who you are" album, (which is an excellent record)on which he re-recorded Roxy Roller. Those first three Nick Gilder records and the Sweeney Todd album with Nick Gilder are first rate.

  • bryan adams was in sweeny todd and also was the singer and after he left is when nick gilder joined 'sweeny todd" which they release the song "roxy roller"

  • bryan was the drummer folks. really.

  • have heard this today(Fri 11 apr.08)for the first time since 1978!.Flashed me right back to what i was doing at that exact time when i heard this song back then.Amazing how music can do that.

  • too cool...been a long time ty!! can anyone tell me is it true that Bryan Adams was the guitar player for Sweeney Todd in their early days?

  • Yes this is very true,That bryan adams did play with the band for awhile, then of course went solo.
