  • Saw them live several times during the early years.. awesome and loud beyond belief!!! Motorhead!!

  • @patslick Me too. My first Motorhead concert was in 1981 in Leeds. I'd been to rock concerts before but I hadn't seen anything like that Motorhead crowd. Rockers, Hells Angels, Punks, drugs, booze & people unconscious in huge pools of piss.GREAT!

  • Phil is Motorhead now and Fast Eddie was Motorhead and they both are awesome

  • This era of Motorhead is classic, but the current line up is fucking awesome too. Just wish they'd play some of the earlier tunes onstage.

  • Lemmy in his prime. Inspirational. Blistering. Total power.

  • @makkfgh24 dude are you on glue? pearl jam has got nothing on this classic line up of motorhead.

  • @makkfgh24

    ...behave yourself.......

  • go cry to mommy pearl jam!

  • yeeeh.... eddie clark is the man !! his bluesy feeling is awesome ..... the classic era of motorhead was pure rock and roll.... now is more heavy metal....and of course the unique style of philthy was just amazing.... i love that line up .... fuck !!!

  • @papexx sorry but I think you wrong bout the the actual style of motorhead. Heavy metal was during the two guitar era, Campbell has a great rock'n'roll feelings. Listen the last three album.

  • Fast Eddie with a Les Paul. I knew he played one in Fastway but never saw one in his hand with Motorhead. Cool.

  • Lemmy was a quality lead singer for a quality band!

  • the true motorhead

  • my favorite motorhead line up.

  • It's most people's favourite line-up because it's classic Motorhead.

  • i liked it when they had Wurzel, Cambell and Phil

  • Yeah that line-up was good but to me, Motorhead is Lemmy, Eddie Clark & Philthy Animal Taylor.

  • i loved the original line up but they are awesome thesedays with mikkey dee+phil cambell-hes been there 25years now,i saw them in manchester on sat.and they where awesome+did a 90min.setlist-rocknroll

  • Wow, nice cover... Better than Pearl jam... Not that pearl jam sucks... it´s just that it looks that they´re trying to copy the who but... they can´t

  • they arent trying copy the who at all! they just respect their music, and as for saying they cant....did u hear their live performance of love rain o'er me at the who anniversary gig?? i think that would change ur opinion

  • Motorhead had more of a blues feel to them with Fast Eddie on the guitar.

  • They did have a more blues feel with Eddie. Truth be told I miss there blues influence a lot. That's why the albums with Eddie are my fave.

  • is there an edit at the beginning of metropolis? the song starts with a droning kind of intro. classic though.

  • it should have a droning type of intro yeah, either a slight accidental edit or they just kicked off into the song.

  • Thanks for putting Leaving Here up. Shit-hot, the first NWBHM track to get on TOTP! All that frill and fluff and incomprehension, then three proto-headbangers at the front, well, head-banging. Excellent!

  • fucking Motorhead, bitches - all hail

  • KICK ASS TUNE!!!!!!!!!

  • They should play leavin' here again live! Or anything of On Parole! it's the best Motorhead album. Well, at least at the moment i think...

  • Eddie fast clarke fucking owning everyone he is the MOTÖRHEAD the orginal guitar hero of motörhead...

  • Motorhead was at their best during the Fast Eddie Clarke era. That guy was just as much Motorhead as Lemmy. It's like KISS without Ace Frehley on guitar.

  • @p4horror I agree. I'm from the Lemmy, Fast Eddie & Philthy era and for me, that's the REAL Motorhead.

  • blows the pearl jam version away

  • That's certainly subjective. Why even compare the two? Would you classify Pearl Jam and Motorhead as bands that sound even remotely alike? Not to mention that the two versions aren't played similiarly or use the same lyrics.

  • MOD??? Are you drugged?

The song was a Motown song written by Eddir Holland in 1963!

    GET ya facts right!

  • Yo are YOU on mushrooms,i know the label and the artist EDDIE HOLLAND....not EDDIR HOLLAND??,they used to play it on the mod rallies all the time making it a mod tune,GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT MATE,EDDIE HOLLAND doesn't have to be a mod for it to be a mod tune...ALRIGHT.

  • Hey golden! 1 typo mate i MEANT EDDIE Eddir was a typo r being right next to e!

Now, sorry, but i misunderstood your MOD reference. I thought you mOD as in the metal band Method of Destruction!!! not MAD as in MODERN, 60s brit swingers!

YES you are right, it WAS a Mod tune written by Motown songwriter EddiE Holland!

    Sorry for the mix-up!

  • No worries mate all sorted cheers GOLDENSPECIAL

  • Aah the mystic beauty of Metropolis.

  • Leavin' Here & Metropolis
