  • 3:27 HOLY SHIT BRIAN TYPES FAST!

  • Does Final Cut work threw this?

  • Will facetime work?

  • @TechReview333 Yes.

  • So this response can be taken 2 ways

    1. Yes. Installed with(out) any issues.

    2. Yes. Installed with (M)any issues.

    :)

    Thanks

  • @d2photo It installed without any issues.

  • Thanks for the tutorial info - downloaded the apps today and working on getting this going. Currently running it through the VM player. Just need this for testing some apps on my win 7 box at work (tired of hauling my macbook). Question I have (still loading it) have you put the current OS patch on it 10.6.7??

    Thanks

  • @d2photo Yes. Installed with any issues.

  • why do yo run windows 7 on a mac -.- i never would do that *_* bcuz mac is awesome btw but thanks for da video now i will do it u really helped me alot thanks dude :)

  • hey, great video. Wanted to ask, can you run iWork on it? Also what processing speed would you suggest me assigning to VM for a 2.2GHz processor?

  • @palakharvey You can't adjust the CPU speed.

  • @gumballtech okay, and what about iWork?

  • @palakharvey I don't know. iWork is horrible software to begin with.

  • @gumballtech How did you get the text next to your video ? o.O please tell me :(

  • @gumballtech Thanks, and what about iWork?

  • Can u make a video of you using Unity, Or Gamesalad thing i will use for game making also Xcode

  • Question - does the VM open as a window on the PC, so that you could switch back and forth between the PC and the Mac (the way you do with a remote desktop connection)? Also, once using the mac in VM, can you access the same files and resources as the PC (ie., My Documents etc.)? Thanks for a great video.

  • @meatradio Yes, the VM opens up in a window (and there's also an option for full screen). No. Your files from Windows and Mac OS X are completely separate from each other. You'll have to setup file sharing in Windows and access them via the network in your VM.

  • 3 things.... you typed your password so fast it scared me XD, 2 i have done this 2, ity was awesome

3: why does it run so fast... its kinda strange... cuz it doesnt reconize your hardware completely...

  • link is broken :(

  • I have a mac. 2 actually but i cant afford to buy a mac pro for programming and stuff. So my only option is to make a custom PC because im on a budget. I just found out about this program and im all excited cuz i can run mac os x on my Pc.

  • snow leopard vmware 10.6

  • haha, it was funny seeing the windows 7 lock screen going to mac os x

  • I may ask a stupid question now, but it is possible to make a dualboot with this mac os?

  • do you get garageband with the hackintosh?

  • hey love the video just one question does xcode work like this thanks ps i subbed

  • @mobilecellphonegeek Yes, it'll work. Probably not very fast, though.

  • quick ..question... will xcode (iphone sdk ) run ok....?

  • @EvolutionXEngine Probably.

  • Can you use iTunes with your iPod as usual in OSX, or will windows pop-up and give trouble?

Can you adress a part of your HD specifically for Mac OSX?

Or will it just increase the folder with Leopard in it?

  • @TheScythed The actual files for Leopard/Snow Leopard will dynamically grow as you add more stuff to it and use it.

VMware has the option to "hook" your iPod/etc. to the virtual machine just as if you were plugging it into a real Mac.

  • How would i get wireless to work if i was installing it on a windows pc

  • @gh3master1010 It'd be considered ethernet on the VM, not wireless.

  • Do You Get GarageBand with it?

  • @CoD6playa Yeah.

  • When I exit the VMware will I loose my downloaded apps and configs?

  • @wolframf "Lose" only has one 'o'.

But no, you won't lose your settings. They'll still stay.

  • @gumballtech

Sorry but I'm not from a country that has english as native language.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Too bad my latest PC Is a AMD system.

  • How do u zoom in the VM? and how do u od did u install vmware tools?

  • Hold control and use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

  • OMG you type like really fast!

  • version 3

  • There's no such thing as VMware 3...

  • @gumballtech yea there is go on there site vmware player version 3 is it the same thing and also i heard there is a way to install vmtools to get graphics acceleration.

  • Oh, that.

There's NO way to get proper graphics acceleration for Snow Leopard in a virtual machine (at the moment).

  • will this work in the normal vmware?

  • does this work on AMD PC's ?

  • Nope. For AMD users, the only options you have is to install Mac OS X natively, or buy a Mac.

  • nevermind, i found an AMD Version of sn0w leopard iso, burned it as an image, and im running it in vmware workstation 7 :)

  • Ah, you're running a hackintosh distro in the VM. Too bad that's illegal. You should buy a copy of Snow Leopard ($30) anyway.

  • relax, i bought a snow leopard disc from microcenter for $29.99, and then i found out it doesnt work, so i extracted the disk, and copyed the disc to my computer, and i added a darwin bootloader in the osx os files.

and then i created an .iso off of it, and burned it as an image on to a DVD.

and then loaded it in vmware workstation 7.
