@peterpanforever666 Gutturals aren't standard growls. You use your diaphragm but just not as much as you would for normal growling/screaming. The raspiness is the same kind you get from doing normal DM vocals, just isolated. If you're doing it right it won't hurt and is pretty safe on your vocal cords.
