  • saw this on full screen and got scared when i saw the blue screen of jeff! -.-

  • I don't own a 3DS but I've played them in stores and I've seen what it looks like when the 3D effect is broken, meaning I could see the double image of everything in the game at any angle or any distance

but I've seen the same game in a working 3D and it gets annoying after about 3-5 minutes of playing

but I'm wondering does this type of glasses free 3D work if you turn the screen upside down

  • @vgking699 hang on let me check.... yeah it does work upside down.

  • 4:35 DAFAQ??!!

  • Press 1

  • GOGOL BORDELLO, DID NOT EXPECT THAT.

  • what software do you use to edit

  • All this time I thought it was just fucking my brain.

  • i thought you meant "which brings us to the women", am so sad inside

  • press 8 ;D

  • wrong...its clearly magic!!!

  • I like learning things I already know. :)

  • I like shutting one eye and slowly adjusting the 3d on the 3ds and you can watch the image start to shift slowly. Also if you want to see the parralax barrier, when its dark, turn the 3ds 3d up and put it near a wall, you can see lines of light apposed to a singluer light source when the 3d is off.

  • Dang it kmart min

  • And Boom You Have 3d lmao

  • this guy is like Jack Black's long lost brother

  • ITS NOTCH!

  • are the 3d effectss really good? Ive just been getting into handhelds and havent really decided on one tho

  • @PsiloCybinDreamX there pretty amazing, but before you buy one strictly for the 3D effect, I suggest you know how your eyes handle the 3D first, either go to a local retailer with a 3DS demo stand, if you can't find one, then go see a 3d movie. there is significant portion of the population that has problems with seeing 3D effects, be it depth-perception, one-eye blindness, or even health complications like it induces headaches, or, in people with epilepsy, seizures.

  • @Xngears

Do you live in Belmont Apartments? You're layout is exactly the same as mine.

  • i did the cross eye and it hurts my eye a bit

  • 4:32 XD

  • so all the switch on the 3ds does is change the direction of the light?

  • i knew i was right

  • I love the into x]

  • he has his own theme song too!!!!????!!!!!!!

  • if each eye sees in 2d, then how come when i hold one eye shunt i can still see depth of the empty mountain dew bottle with my open eye?

  • @supercrapnstuff11 because you know how big the bottle is and the smaller it is= further away. thats what artists do when they paint, to make something apear further away they draw it smaller

  • @Mondy20O i knew that, i was talking about real life, and in older games before 3d, nothing actually got smaller, it just got changed to look smaller

  • @WilliDaChili Sony already made a screen like that for ps3 where the glasses filter out difference images depending on the pair setting so no more splitscreen

  • I Dont See The 3D

  • Oh my gaaawwd, that tech would be so fucking awesome on pc monitors... If you're watching porn, you can make it look like your studying if your mom walks in :D

  • Which video editing software are you using?

  • I can cross my eyes so well, I can actually see the middle image clearly :P

  • yea guys... 3ds is actually rendering 2 !!!!!! game graphics at the SAME time.... -.- think about thatXD

  • @Janezk7 no, it's not. that would require an annoying amount of processing power to do that.

  • To the 32 people that disliked this video: you don't have to dislike just because his goatee is uneven. There's still a lot of information in this video!

  • thanks for the info

  • What the heck is syan? You mean blue? Not to be rude

  • @s8413275 Cyan is a lighter color blue. Kinda like sky blue, if you will.

  • @flyffman121 Oh thanks for clearing that up cause it looks like a darker blue to me.

  • @s8413275 I know it does. It definitely isn't cyan.

  • The Parallax Barrier is essentially the same as thing as those Cracker Jack animation cards right? 3+ pictures of a subject in different frames of animation displayed one at a time depending on what angle you look at the card from giving the illusion of animation as you adjust your viewing angle.

  • Nice! good job

  • thumbs up if u thought its the big show who have a wig....

  • hello, some one said there will never be a 3ds with a bigger screen. they posted that the 3d woud not work. could it work on a bigger screen? can someone answer me

  • @Mondy20O Whoever told you that is a moron. Sony had a 46" glasses-free 3DTV at CES

    watch?v=H09494K_a2Q

  • @uberd0gAlpha hey that was not me who said that there couldnt be a 3ds with a bigger screen, i was just dissagreeing to someone else who thought the couldnt be one

  • @Mondy20O yeah i know :)

  • Ug how you cross eyes?

  • i still watched tha whole thing and i didnt understand one word he said

  • I CANT CROSS MY EYES :(

  • I watched parts of this vid in 3D by using the cross-eye technique

  • @jxs22 best 3D tecnology x)

  • @jxs22 AGHHH FUCK YOU THAT HURT. the first few seconds where the guys spend got my eyes in like a twist.

  • @jxs22 HOLY SHIT it worked!

  • 4:02 i can see the sweet spot.

  • The direct light of the sun made 29 accounts to dislike this!

  • 3:13 OMG! I HAVE THAT SHIRT! actually, now that i think of it, its not that big of a fucking deal!

  • U look like big show with a wig X)

  • oh this is amazing. Thanks!

  • 0:46 what wii game is that game looks familar, like a wii game I once played

maybe its the same................no imposible....that was a wii game...hmm(trails of into pointless youtube comment posting)

  • @DOGChels That's Pikmin for da Gaymecube! prolly the best game of all time

  • @DOGChels That was the demo for the 3DS that they showed on the E3, I think.

The game it is based on (and probably the one that you played on the Wii) is Pikmin 2.

There is a version of Pikmin 2 for the Game Cube (which is the original version)

  • Great *Claps*

  • It's not real "3D" though it's depth, stuff doesn't appear in front of you or jump out at you like it does with glasses etc.

  • Holy crap the girls at 2:53 are hot!

  • Huh???

  • wow, good to know that

  • Intro = Instant Sub

  • @ARandomPerson102 Only as much as playing any handheld game in which your eyes look at a screen from close-up.

  • 27 cyclopses dislike this.

  • Your video intros are really annoying, but the videos themselves are helpful.

  • I think 3D is awesome, but I wouldn't know, I have strabismus, =( Doesn't let you see 3D

  • Thanks Xngears. Clear, concise and informative!

  • this is why creating a three dimensional holographic display is so handy. geometry papers goodbye!

  • thanks dude btw would it be easier if i use 3d glasses for my 3ds ^^; just wanna know if it helps finds the sweet spot with ease or not?

  • @mapleseallux you cant use 3d glasses for a 3ds

  • darn your smart!

  • 3D is overrated

  • 3ds can capture 3d images and videos after some update.... now i can take a photo of my tissue box in 3D !!!!

(btw ps vita's release date is 22 february,2012)

  • Omg Sony copies everything from Nintendo. 3DS was first then suspiciously a 3D PSP comes out.

  • @PHiLLUPSUXX 3D PSP? There's no 3D in PS Vita

  • @PHiLLUPSUXX

    No 3D psp......

  • @PHiLLUPSUXX and now sony is planing to make a PS4 and they said it would be more fore the whole family. mmm... reminds me of the wii u

  • @Mondy20O i can't tell if nintendo was trying to make another portable console or not..

  • woo gogol bordello

  • Im getting 3DS now! Im not a Nintendo fanboy but, this system looks awesome!

  • SCIENCE!!!!

  • OMG IT WORKED

  • 0:47-0:51 best captured 3D on camera!

  • Comment removed

  • i cant cross my eyes...

  • thumbs up if the blue screen of jeff scared you

  • wow so simple

  • Gogol Bordello?? :D!

  • You mean there's not a magic wizard that lives in my 3DS...?

  • who cares whether it's nintendo or sony, they are both japanese company. not that i care they stole ideas from each other..

  • Aw man idk how to cross eyed..

  • Wait, what? GPS to the driver, and a movie to the passengers?! I never knew...

  • Is Psp go with 3d with out glasses with android integrated next fuck yeah ill buy it

  • its funny how your wrong every 1 try closing one eye and turn 3d on its still 3d so this is a lie

  • Watch Sony take this idea from Nintendo just like thy did with the Wii.

  • @Tanookitailandears very true

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, thank you so much, this helped a lot for my project! (:

  • heyyyy thanks!!!!!

  • Gogol Bordello?

  • i always get the sweet side some time

  • intresting and good.

  • who saw the third image in the middle thumbs up!

  • i remember that they had a laptop they unveiled at ces about 5 years ago and i remember it was on sale for 3000$ and it had a 15" autostereoscopic screen in it

i dont know why they didnt just make a monitor instead ,who wants to buy a laptopo that has new technology expensive screen that you will most likely want to use long after the computer connected to it is obsolete, whoeve bought that has a great glassesless 3d monitor with a lump of crap stuck to it now,as a 5 yo computer

  • @bulletproof2353 He could always just use the laptop as strictly a monitor, and wire it through another computer.

  • the 3ds has a much better effect than the active 3d tv's out on the market now, i have yet to see the new passive 3d tv's in person yet, but i cant imagine how they could get much worse than the ones with active glasses, cause those ones suck ,sony especially ,the panasonic one was not too bad ,but still not nearly as impressive as the 3ds,

  • 23 People pressed back button before 0:37 sec.

  • That's freakin cool. :D

  • I wonder why they don't just play the opposing frames quicker than the eyes can register the displayed FPS? Sure, it will use more FPS overall, but with an LRLR alternation going on in perfect sequence, and it doesn't come out blurry, you can virtually achieve the same effect sans parallaxing it.

Heck, I think the effect can be emulated (even as a shader plugin or something) if someone has the time to figure out how.

Of course, I have a feeling that method was already attempted, and failed.

  • HOLY SHIT! you have the same apartment layout as me WTF?

  • I think I will just use it with no 3d at all. i rather have a wide screen that square and possibly wreck my eyes furthur

  • If you have a blue glass and a red glass and look at a picture i realized it worked watch the video at you will know how it works

  • it's lechuck!

  • Maybe i should take off my glasses and put in contacts so i dont cross my eyes for 5 min and get frustrated...

  • @chair5432 TR0LL.

  • @DarkBit666 not a troll, its true

  • its not exactly how it looks, but similar

  • its really obvious for people who never discovered how 3d works lol

  • Thumbs up if that guy needs a serious haircut and shave.

  • 22 people still don't know how 3DS 3D works

  • wow it really works tho our own 3d is not that clear but still i can tell its 3d!

  • I am so glad I don't waste my time playing little kid's games on a 2.5x2.5" screen

  • @chair5432 : Um hello...Huh?

  • HOLY SHIT! I got to see the Zelda clip twice in 3d! SO AMAZING! :D

  • Haha, actually, it worked.

  • if you turn 3d on in the dark and face the screen towards a wall, you can see how it has shutters

  • u look like jack black... but with a beard

  • nice expleneicion

  • wait... so will this work if you have like 28-80 vision in one eye and 20-20 in the other?

  • bone shack dumb ass!

  • you did a great job, but the intro is so long that i think this is a troll video

  • How do I cross my eyes? :l

  • you make pretty awesome vids.. you should invest on a better camera

  • check my channel for a nintendo 3DS screenshots video in 3D you need 3D glasses or the crosseye technique to see 3D screenshots on youtube

  • OR there is a 3d lense on the ds and then TADA

  • and sadly that means no mario nerds mario will not be dancing ontop of ur screen like a holograme..idts but that would be awesome

  • like the funny begining

  • love your hairstyle.

  • Holy shit I just saw 3D. I'm glad I learned how to cross my eyes in the first grade.

  • Comment removed

  • i almost fell for that jedi mind trick at the end

  • gogol bordello?

  • 3D paper mario. the fuck?

  • @cellyboy3000 LOL.

  • Why must every explanation of 3D technology give a rudimentary Stereoscopy 101 lesson? "3D works because we have two eyes ..." Can't we just skip ahead to things like circular polarization?

  • The explanation for the red/cyan glasses is wrong. The cyan lens LETS THROUGH cyan light. It doesn't block it. Why else would everything seen through it LOOK cyan?

  • @Brimaxian that is actually wrong, although you see cyan (blue) you cant see that colour anywhere that is that colour... and the same with the red.... even I know that and I'm not even 13!!!!!

  • @coolchu7 I'm not wrong. Through the cyan lens, cyan things look cyan and red things look black. If something looks black, it's because the light was blocked, not let through.

What I think you mean is that if you look at a white piece of paper with a cyan line on it, you won't see the line through a cyan lens, and it will ALL appear cyan. Therefore, you're "not seeing that color", and you WOULD "see" a red line because the red appears black against the background. But you don't SEE it as red.

  • @Brimaxian If there's a white backgroud with a cyan square on it and you look at the square with a cyan lens, everything you'll see is a totally cyan background, you won't be able to see the cyan image, but if you look at that image with a red lens, you will the background and the square. you cannot see the cyan image with the cyan lens.

  • @mavetse35 Yes, you are right. But if it's, say, a BLACK background, you'll see the cyan square through cyan lens and not through red lens. Depending on how the source material is projected or printed, the eye wearing the cyan lens may be meant to see the image which is printed in red, but that doesn't mean the RED LIGHT is COMING THROUGH the CYAN LENS. You "see" it BECAUSE that color light is BLOCKED. Xngears just used poor, misleading wording there; that's all.

  • cut out the garbage at the start, i didnt even watch the video, it got to 30sec i said fuck this.

  • just like stereogram XD

  • Im just watching "rattaruile" and the music at the start combined perfect

  • holy crap hes right

  • fat jew

    your weong

  • 3:40--he said dorection

  • DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!! XD

400 pixels are allocated to each eye

(i read from the nintendo website)

Wide-screen LCD display, enabling 3D view without the need for special glasses. Capable of displaying approximately 16.77 million colors. 3.53 inches display (3.02 inches wide, 1.81 inches high) with 800 x 240 pixel resolution. 400 pixels are allocated to each eye to enable 3D viewing.

  • i knew that 3DS worked like this but my friends keeps convincing me its like those 3D TV's with 2 images >.> this video helps a lot....

  • i dont like a 3DS now...

  • My eyes got confused from switching from cross-eyed to normal to cross-eyed to normal O_O

  • Lol, My eyes can easily cross o_o So I don't need to use my 3DS to watch 3D videos on youtube o.o

  • im like half blind in my right eye so will the effect still work?

  • i see it!

  • Good video but the 40 seconds of bullshit I had to sit through for it to start made me want to hit the 'back' button really bad.

  • PIKMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
