no it reallly works,dont stick the second disc in all the way just wait until the first on goes in the put th second one in so it can act like it loading it so it can load the first one if u know what i mean.

Put the disk in the ps3, then when u do that tilt the PS3 it a little bit up, then you'll feel the disk spinning aka reading at the top of the PS3, then after that it should read the disk I hope this help. =]
