He was in rehab back in '08 for his foot, and prior to that he'd been straight. Even Joe Perry was on pain meds for his knee, and both of them were watched during these times. Unfortunately, once you've been an opiate addict it's easy to relapse just by taking those pain meds.

Once an addict, always an addict. I'm a die hard Aerosmith fan but I will not delude myself into thinking that Tyler might not relapse at any given moment. He was probably given percs or vicodin after his surgeries....might make him slip for a while & that's why he went into rehab after the surgery, needed some drug supervision. That being said, they have the most energy out of all the bands out there. Their energy would put some of these younger bands to shame!!!

If you check out the info in the upper right hand corner it will tell you (in spanish) that the person w/Tyler is Jimmy Crespo and this was back in 1980. And "thealexquinn" you are right. He was in rehab back in '08 for his foot, and prior to that he'd been straight. Even Joe Perry was on pain meds for his knee, and both of them were watched during these times. Unfortunately, once you've been an opiate addict it's easy to relapse just by taking those pain meds.

Once an addict, always an addict. I'm a die hard Aerosmith fan but I will not delude myself into thinking that Tyler might not relapse at any given moment. He was probably given percs or vicodin after his surgeries....might make him slip for a while & that's why he went into rehab after the surgery, needed some drug supervision. That being said, they have the most energy out of all the bands out there. Their energy would put some of these younger bands to shame!!!
