It was voted by voter one of the word adaptions ever rebooted, I don't see how there going to make a sequel ,apparently it did good in Asia so b/c of that FOX has considered 2 sequels.

And on top of it all, it had some stupid moments. Such as Piccolo, this bad ass guy using some damn flying platform, and ordering Mui to do everything for him? Ugh, I can't go on. Anyway, guess my point is that fans that hate the film are still fans, not Lemmings who follow everything like a religion, and those who did enjoy it are still also fans. I think it was a bad movie from a non-Dragonball fan perspective, but as a fan of the series? Words can't express it. I don't mind or care who likes it, and I know Akira doesn't mind it. But that does not mean that "True" DB fans should enjoy it. It was risky new take, but it was way too much change, way too bland and didn't really hold anything worth me giving a crap about any of the characters or the story. I don't mind a couple of changes, but it was pretty much a failed reboot.

lol I dont hate Dragonball Kai, I just dont feel like watching what I already have on DVD. I say it seems more of a cash in on the DBZ name to me. If they would have re-drawn the entire series like they did in the opening sequence, it would have been worth while. Seeing new colors and splicing just seems kinda bleh to me

I don't understand how anyone could like this movie or think it was ok even if you had never seen dragonball. The story was so trite and cliched, it was laughable. "I have to be one with myself". PLEASE! Piccolo does not do anything in the movie, Are we actually supposed to be scared or concerned? The acting was terrible and why the hell did they pick that one actor for Yamcha? I could see some people getting interested in DBE if they haven't watched the series at all or very little of it, because it had some funny moments, but for me, even looking at it as a normal movie, the story was awkward.

Bulma's entrance was completely stupid in this movie. "I'm gonna infiltrate this demolished house and shoot this random kid because stole my dragonball! I mean, he looks like the chinese woman who stole it. And surely there isn't anyone mourning the loss of his loved ones!
