The group of 52 youth and 42 adults from the Santa Cruz area Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints split up into "families" with seven to nine members including a "Ma and Pa" and are given actual names from pioneers as well as bios for each.
I am not American but I prayed that this very inhumane act would never happen again. I could hardly fathom why did they do that? Those victims were just there to work inspired with their loves ones, friends and hope. God Bless Us All!
The evening of September 11, 2001, I was at a Special broadcast originally for a business conference, turned special 9/11 Memorial tribute of the Mormon tabernacle choir. They sang this song then and it means even more to me now. There is nothing like the power behind those glorious voices and the message of peace this song sheds. Gives me chills!
One of my strongest memories of that time was when joint members of congress sang this song together. For a short time, all differences were cast aside and we were all just Americans. May God bless us all to find that kind of unity again one day.
