Loved it!....thats the "narrowest" uke neck I've ever seen. I had noticed it because my fingers are so freakin' small that I wished I had a baritone uke with such a narrow neck!..
I appreciate this kind of music, and I like how you use your baritone for it. I think I'll watch your all videos, trusting that I'll find other pleasant music. Bye, Marco
Thanks. I knew the song reasonably well (it's pretty straightforward) so rehearsed a bit before recording the rhythm tracks. But I generally just solo off the top of my head, although only a small percentage of that counts as improvisation.
You are indeed. I'm playing the guitar with a Wegen gypsy jazz pick (the 2.5 mm model) and the uke with an extra heavy pick. I think it ends up sounding like a mandolin a little.
Congratulations Adam.Great song and performance. We have, in Brasil, some good players of Ukulele, we call "violão tenor": Zé Menezes and Renato Anesi. The tune is: A-D-G-C ???
I have heard of Zé Menezes; he's great. Actually, for this baritone ukulele i'm tuning it like the top four strings of a regular guitar (D-G-B-E). Traditional tenor guitar is tuned as you indicate, often the same as 4-string banjo. Soprano ukulele is often tuned G-C-E-A.

If I had a dollar for every hour I spent playing Django-style gypsy swing jazz....
I might have to record more songs like this.

I had thought about doing a chorus, but this key is a little high for me, and I couldn't get it to sound decent. Next time!
