I dont have as many Blurays as yourself, but im nearing about 600 DVDs/Boxsets. If you havent already tried this, my suggestion would be to group your collection into studios..
Ie 20th Century Fox, 20th Century Fox 'Pathe', Entertainment in Video, Columbia Tristar, MGM, Misc, Momentum, Optimum, Pixar, Universal, Warner Bros etc.
Then Alphabetize your Bluray/DVDs within each studio group. This way your collection will look neat with the logos and pictures on the sides fitting togehter.
First of all I don't have that many Blu Rays and my combined DVD/BR collection is only about 340-350 movies. But what I've done, besides keeping the BR separated from the DVD's is organize them into categories like WAR, SUPERHEROES, CRIME, WESTERN etc... but to be honest I really need to organize them better.

@moovieman222 Lmao, yes. I always tell people this, but It doesn't matter how big your collection is, what matters is what's in it. Yea I have been collecting for awhile now. I have around the same number of DVDs like you. Most of them are gone thanks to Best Buy's deals haha.
@themovieguy0 Haha. I'm trying to update my collection every week, both blu-rays and DVDs, but I'm saving up for a laptop which I have almost covered but it's hard to put money towards both. Once I have the laptop, I can buy more movies.
just wanted to tell you that blockbuster blu rays, if you take that cover out you can tear the art work out ( it is glued lightly) and pu them in empty blu ray cases

u know what i do i put the super heros all with each other right then all the anamation witch each other then after that i would do ABC order and u can put sifi by its self uwhat u need to do is look at most of your collection and see witch like section u have the most of like is it drama ,thriller,acion whatevr it is bro.at the moment my bluray collection is just all with each other.i really dont care for makeing it nice no more lol.

Btw, don't categorize. You're not Blockbuster. Just alphabetize by type. Keep all Blu-rays, DVDs, Steelbooks, Box sets in their own groupings.

arrange them so they are all color coordinated. it would look cool on the shelf lol. mine are in a-z.
