beautifully said, but more important, demostrated, he spoke of hope and worked for peace and change, he acted on what he believed, a lesson we could all learn
John Denver was offered the lead part in the movie "An Officer And A Gentleman". He turned it down because he though it was to much of a "B" movie!!! Oops from Denver - YEAH from Richard Gere!!
And the song "What One Mad Can Do" was written for R. Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller - upon his death in 1983. He was a good friend and a 20th century inventor, mathematician and futurist. He invented the geodesic dome - in which food can be grown 12 months of the year - and without soil!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this wonderful video, which so clearly shows what John was all about. It's up to each one of us to be people of action (large or small) every day to carry on John's legacy for future generations and to preserve Mother Earth! Peace!
he was a true champion of the human spirit and goodwill... he also happened to have one of the best voices and a one in a million talent with lyrics, poetry and the guitar... an amazing inspiring life.
Thanks so much for posting these beautiful videos, Terry. I hope your tribute to John is making headway... I can't wait to see the final product! Linda W
His dream of making a difference still exists in the Windstar organization that he started. Windstar and other organizations like it may be our last hope of making a difference for the future generations.
John Denver had three adopted children and none of their names was "Kathryn" or "Michelle", which is another name on your profile. I think you are a loony tune who is an imposter, and a really bad one at that. Sad......
Actually Zack and Anna Kate were adopted and Jesse Belle is his biological child - through invetro fertilization with his second wife. He was (all of his life) infertile and unable to have children until IVF was discovered!!
No dear, all of his children go by the last name of Deutschendorf - Denver was only his stage name and he never legally changed his real name Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr.!!
Wow click! John would have been an interesting President for the US.
