if you dont get nouvelle vague then it is likely that you didnt get the original. its not coincidence that the songs they cover are those of pioneers in their own genre. did you hear robert smiths original demos from the 70s? to the extent that the originals are studio-perfected, these "original" interpretations are artistic improvements. even when i love the original like a forest.

My favorite from Nouvelle Vague. It's soooo relaxing and has a tropical sound to it. You can hear every effect in the background, it sounds like birds, crickets and waterfalls. All you need is a Pina Colada or a Mai Tai, coconut shrimp would be nice too, lol.

yeah this is alright here...i have been listening to all these remixes and covers, and this is the only one to capture to true essence of the song to me, i have always thought the song in its original state was a hauntingly beautiful composition expressing longing and love...the re-mixes don't do it and the covers are lack luster...this one really moved me, don't know if because its bossanova, but its very pretty.  Thanks for sharing, its very calming and relaxing, glad i stumbled upon this.

sorry to be so smugg, but Nouvelle Vague is a collective group led by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux with a rotating door of singers. Translated from french to english nouvelle vague means "new wave", new wave in Portuguese is bossa nova, which is the style of music, quite an interesting play on words, as well as covering 'new wave' music in bossa nova style.
