One of the greatest things to ever happen in anime.

This episode was meant to be so Violent, Sexual, and overall Offensive that would never be aired on TV. it worked, one joke about a sarin gas attack in this episode was deemed tasteless and the episode was never aired. Thus the title, "Going too far" and experiment outcome at the end reading "Huge success"

They wanted to make something that could never be aired and they did so with flying colors.

@Drakmeire It wasn't so much the gas joke, but the episode as a whole. Also, it being exactly 1 minute too long played a big part too. It was just always intended to be more of a DVD only OVA than a real episode.

Anyway, I have to say, I'm actually a little disappointed. I'd heard about this episode and was expecting a lot "worse". That this was considered going too far 11-12 years ago shows how far censorship has been pushed back, which is a good thing. /salute Excel Saga episode 26
