I think Obama has done a bit better than many other politicians would have on delivering on his campaign promises. For the majority of his policies he at least seems to be trying, things like the stimulus package, reforming health care and closing Gitmo. Obviously there is going to be opposition to many things he tries to do like the problems he's faced closing Gitmo so far.
For Government transparency he's definitely doing better than what was in the Bush administration (though that is not saying much). He's done some things there have been fewer midnight meetings and votes on legislation, he's reopened that military base where the bodies of the soldiers come back home and so far he's done a decent job announcing what he's doing in the Whitehouse and what policies he is planning to try and implement next.
I'm personally divided on the photos issue. I understand the desire for many of the general public to want to know exactly what abuses occurred and these photos probably have some major evidence. At the same time there might have been something he found out about that he didn't have a clue on before he got access to this information which led to the decision flip. I've also heard some rumours of some of the senior military officials begging him not to release the photos.
I'm giving some leeway on this issue since I can't be certain of what motivated the decision. Honestly though I don't think it was a completely random decision flop. I'm really hoping that Obama had some bigger reason for that one.
As far as prosecuting Bush and Cheney, yes I'd love to see it happen but I knew realistically it wouldn't happen in the Whitehouse. I think if it does happen at all it has to be done in a relatively independent manner by by the courts otherwise it just won't occur.
There's a difference between having the right to say something and being a big enough person to hold back saying it. Especially when it's untrue, or just unnecessary and rude.

The reason we went to Iraq is Saddam was not living up to cease fire agreement, terrorist training camps & WMD's. Both sides had the same info on WMD's Republicans & Democrats voted to go to war. Bush did not come up with the intell, It was supplied by Brittan and other sources. We did not find any WMD's but they could have shipped them to another Country.

The people must speak up. Contact the Attorney General, Congress, Senate to make your voices heard. Tell them to follow the money trail. Tell them to look into the war crimes. With building 7 also even if the fires were enough to weaken all the core columns together at the exact SAME TIME (cough), wouldn't that have to be done on the same floor too? It'll be no good having one core column collapse on the 10th floor and one collapse on the 40th floor because there would of definitely of been resistance then but there was NO resistance at all!

I think Obama has done a bit better than many other politicians would have on delivering on his campaign promises. For the majority of his policies he at least seems to be trying, things like the stimulus package, reforming health care and closing Gitmo. Obviously there is going to be opposition to many things he tries to do like the problems he's faced closing Gitmo so far.

For Government transparency he's definitely doing better than what was in the Bush administration (though that is not saying much). He's done some things there have been fewer midnight meetings and votes on legislation, he's reopened that military base where the bodies of the soldiers come back home and so far he's done a decent job announcing what he's doing in the Whitehouse and what policies he is planning to try and implement next.

I'm personally divided on the photos issue. I understand the desire for many of the general public to want to know exactly what abuses occurred and these photos probably have some major evidence. At the same time there might have been something he found out about that he didn't have a clue on before he got access to this information which led to the decision flip. I've also heard some rumours of some of the senior military officials begging him not to release the photos.

I'm giving some leeway on this issue since I can't be certain of what motivated the decision. Honestly though I don't think it was a completely random decision flop. I'm really hoping that Obama had some bigger reason for that one.
As far as prosecuting Bush and Cheney, yes I'd love to see it happen but I knew realistically it wouldn't happen in the Whitehouse. I think if it does happen at all it has to be done in a relatively independent manner by by the courts otherwise it just won't occur.

There was no connection. The motives for Bush junior were purely personal and selfish. First he felt that being a wartime president would mark him as a great president. Second at the time there was some vague intelligence that Saddam wanted to assassinate Bush senior. So he wanted to go in using any possible excuse. We have written documentation and Obama is correct in that this will only enflame hatred towards the US and our troops will be the ones that suffer. But in this situation the stakes are too high. We cannot afford to losse any more stability in Afghanistan then we already have. Iraq has improved and stability in that region is FRAGILE. Obama has already had to backtrack on his original withdrawl plan. The American people will not alow him to prolong US presence any more if there is an uptick in violence.

There is one "key" point that you're missing. DThor53 - Bin Laden was based in Afghanistan NOT Iraq plotting 9/11. After 9/11, troops should have gone straight into Afghanistan not Iraq. We are finally turning the tide and getting more troops into Afghanistan and out of Iraq. I'm not saying Saddam was a great guy, however he was not the mastermind behind 9/11.

The reason we went to Iraq is Saddam was not living up to cease fire agreement, terrorist training camps & WMD's. Both sides had the same info on WMD's Republicans & Democrats voted to go to war. Bush did not come up with the intell, It was supplied by Brittan and other sources. We did not find any WMD's but they could have shipped them to another Country.

Uh, no. We went to war in Iraq because our brain damaged dry drunk religious fanatic former president and his puppet masters, Rummy and Draft Dodgin' Dick wanted to. They were caught asleep at the wheel on 9-11 and then cooked the intel so they could use it as an excuse to invade a country which had absolutely nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks. Then, when it started to leak out that there was no connection, they tortured prisoners to try to get them to confess to the nonexistent connection.

Yes if someone kills family members we would want those who are responsible, but not millions of innocents. Saddam Hussein was a bastard but had nothing to do with 9/11. Wasn't responsible. The people must speak up. Contact the Attorney General, Congress, Senate to make your voices heard. Tell them to follow the money trail. Tell them to look into the war crimes. Tell them to look into the gas price issue. Tell them they cant take bailout money and fire workers. Fire the incompetent bankers who caused the problem. Liquidate their assets and put that money back into the economy.

it's early, give him time and THEN judge him... I get the argument being made and I know how important it is but give him time, he's doing a lot right now and some things can wait and some things have to happen now... I hate saying that but, with how things are now, piling more issues on top of a MOUNTAIN of issues along with a party that 100% opposes you, it's kind of hard.... we have 4 years of Obama... time will tell if he follows through.
