axbent, it's not as noisy as the video makes it seem. The microphone picked up different frequencies than your ear and your ear and brain will tune out a lot of ordinary sounds naturally.
kalamar, the perspective of the camera makes this encounter appear worse than it is. The driver had plenty of room to pull out and it was my responsibility to be aware of an "obstacle" and avoid it.
There's another video I posted (can't remember the name) with a similar encounter with a semi-trailer. The video looks scary, the encounter was nothing to worry about.
Those garbage truck drivers don't look at anything. Everybody seems to have to kneel down to those guys, or become just another chunk of trash for their side loaders. That must have been a white-knuckle experience.

The best cure for stupified truck drivers in four steps:
1. stop the bike
2. pull the MF out the truck
3. beat the s..t out of him
4. return to bike and enjoy the ride like nothing happened
I tought two drivers some manners this way and i find it very efficient. Bike rage - not road rage;)
