Best running back of all time. I love payton and others but he was the Michael Jordan of football. He played only 10 seasons. He would of easily beat all current all time records. Sanders and Jordan were the reasons to watch these sports. Amazing... Thank you for the vid!
everybody bow down. you're crazy if you don't see him as the best back of all time. i don't care about how he wasn't great at third n short, or got caught in the backfield a lot, you know why... because he had no line. if he had one, we'd be celebrating his super bowl wins. imagine this mother on a good team. again, bow down !!
Ima bears fan and it seems that all the idol players are in the NFC north. Brett farve was A tough qb and a hall of famer. Walter payton the man with a big heart and can truck anyone mike singletary one of the best lb. And gayle Sayers and Barry sanders the two greatest elusive runners ever. Sry for spelling errors
I watch this clip every few months, and it never has less of an effect on the hair on the back of my neck. I hope you never take it down. Absolutely the best athlete I've ever seen play the game.
Barry was a beast. I'm a die hard Bears fan so you know I love Walter (and c'mon, I don't know how you couldn't love both these guys) but he could not move like Barry did. Every time Barry touched the ball I expected him to score, he was so elusive. Both were beasts to tackle, Walter because he played much bigger than he was and always fought off the tackle and Barry because no one could ever get a good shot at him because he was here one second and there the next. Could watch them forever.
@emantabrizi People exagerate how bad the line was to make Barry seem better, but he doesnt need it his play speaks for itself. He had some good blockers over the years. Lomas Brown, Kevin Glover, Jeff Hartings. And some players that were struck with tragedy, Mike Utley and Erik Andolsek. He also had what was considered the best corps of blocking receivers in the league. Overall i would rate the line play as average. Remember that defenses game planned to stop him, 8 men in the box every week.
@emantabrizi I watched him growin up & yea they were pretty bad. 0:17, 0:21, 1:37 on the vid r just some examples of the norm. I mean u can't block bad every single play but he had to break & or avoid more tackles in the backfield than any player in NFL history. They say if ur line doesn't block good then ur runnin back can't b successful, well Barry proved them all wrong.
I'm glad he played for the lions, if he played for the cowboys like emmit smith, all of these highlights would be a straight shot to the end zone for barry. barry= MJ of RB's
I love how he owns the whole defense, then gets up and goes back to the huddle or tosses the ball to the ref.Just a guy doin what he was paid to do(his attitude). Now some player gains 6 yards and he turns into "look at me guy".If Mr.Sanders didn't see the need to celebrate, then neither do you Ocho-Sucko.
The most amazing thing about Barry Sanders if you watch the highlights closely, the defense got in the backfield before he got the ball and he still ran to daylight. Thats crazy
LOL 6:23, QB signals TD!!! Nice clip of the best RB of all time... check out the outstanding stride length for a short dude, he's a freak... oh YEA!!!
You've heard of a running back having a 1st Gear, then kicking it into 2nd and 3rd gear. Barry just "Barry Gear". To this day, I have not seen a back with the balance, power, and speed that Barry had. I'm a Lions fan, and I still won't forgive them for putting that garbage O-Line and passing game around him. We could have made some serious runs those years we had him. Instead, we have now gone on to have the worst franchise in NFL History the last 10 years. Thank you Bill Ford Sr!!!
@THAforseti : I totally agree about LaMichael James. He's the closest to Barry I've seen. Let's just hope his NFL career can be half as fun to watch as Barry. And I don't agree with the Chris Johnson comparison, Johnson is a beast but he's all speed. Even tho Barry is running fast in these clips he gets caught from behind a lot. Barry Sanders : GOAT.
@jawn07 Thank you very much! This wasn't the final product, so it isn't that perfect. My good copy is in presentation form, I just wanted to share with everyone the art that is Barry Sanders. I see a lot of Barry Sanders movies, of people showing and explaining why he was the best, well I wanted to avoid all that fluff, and get straight to the point. So, here is Barry at regular speed. I also MUST insist, I did not speed up the videos... he really is that fast!!
@CarolinaHurricanesAl i wanna thank you for making this video.. i hate that slow shit.. we need more highlights of him at REGULAR SPEED FUCK!! thanks you!
It brings sadness to my heart that one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) half backs of all time was squandered at Detroit.
Detroit is has been one of the worst teams every year, so they get first picks at the best players in the draft, then can't create anything all year long. It's a vicious cycle with the Lions.
Pretty funny at 6:20. The QB holds up his hands for a TD and Barry is still near the 25 yd line and has half of the defense in front of him. That's how bad assed Barry was. The QB knew it was a TD.
You know who reminds me of Barry, Lamichael James of the Oregon Ducks. With the year he is having at just being a sophomore, its gonna be amazing to see this guy in the NFL. Great cuts, amazing lateral movement, he doesnt even need speed.
Awesome...Barry's a true class act, too. Never hotdogged or chest-thumped after a great run or score...just acted like making plays was what he was paid to do.
fuckin love watchin this everytime. Only running back in NFL history to actually have coaches tell their players to stay where they were if Barry juked them out cause he would more than likely come back to them cause he was that unbelievable.
Wow!! I have seen a ton of Barry footage, I have 2 DVDs of nothing but Highlights of him, and this has to be the best footage of his runs put together I have ever seen. Where did you get all the clips from?? Some of his most unique and rare runs are in this video.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, if your opinion defers any other RB ahead of Barry Sanders your opinions are no longer credible. if there was a draft where you could pick any player in the hiostory of the NFL to play RB, it better be barry Sanders.
I'm a Cowboys fan. I loved to watch Tony Dorsett and later, Emmitt Smith. And I recognize that every back has their own style so it is hard to compare. But if you tied me down and shot truth serum into me, I'd say it in a heartbeat that Barry Sanders was the BEST running back ever. The rest of the human race just does not possess Barry's reflexes, quickness, and acceleration. I wonder what he is doing these days.
still wish emmitt smith was playing for the cowboys! then they would be a better team than they are now. and i shall say emmitt is more awesome than barry but thats just my opinion.
Fuck. I wish I was alive to see this guy! LOL (17 years) xD I love the effort that these athletes put into the game, BEASTING SANDERS!! - From a Philly fan (:
I know everyone has their opinions on different things if life, and I am no different when I say this;
BARRY SANDERS IS THE ALL-TIME GREATEST SPORTS STAR IN HISTORY!
Yeah, I agree with you, Carolina Hurricanes, if he would have had the offensive line of the 49ers of the late-80's or of the Cowboys when Emmitt Smith was there, no one would even come remotely close to his rushing records.
The very last one is great... Barry is still four yards behind the line of scrimmage and 30 yards away from the end zone... and Rodney Peete (the QB) is already raising his arms for the touchdown.
thats how i run the ball and im even smaller than he is weight and they said i was to small that motivated every time cuz they didnt even c me play it was a assumption and they was like i didnt no u could play like that and i was like u didnt give me a chance thats y you dont judge someone till they step on the field
The man was the best RB ever. He did more with less of a team than any other RB ever has. I remember watching him run through the line, getting the ball ripped out. He got up, went back for the ball, and still got a first down. Amazing.
The Niners had Roger Craig and Ricky Waters, they both deserve to be in the hall. The predominant line of this era was the Cowboys, look what they did for Emmitt Smith. Barry Sanders behind that line would have been truly astounding.
ok barry was a better caliber player than the lions deserved as they never protected the investment... imagine if they had drafted a line that could actually block or got a decent qb... im sorry we had good receivers in green and moore and perriman but peete was nothing after the torn achilles
@switchhitter07 NO Jim Brown was incredible Barry Sanders wasnt even average Brown Could Run TWICE as fast as Barry Sanders plus Brown was way more elusive not even close Barry Sanders shouldnt even be in the Hall of Fame
@CleavlandBrowns32 alright browns fan, barry is the most elusive back in history. you can argue that brown was better, even though he wasn't, but no one compares to barry in juking. he should be the all-time rushing leader and you know he would've been if he played like 2 more years
@CleavlandBrowns32 Barry wasn't even average? You just plastered a moron sign on your forehead with that comment. Anything else you say from here on out has no credibility!
@CleavlandBrowns32 You sir are about as retarded as they get...Barry Sanders was the MOST elusive back ever....Jim Brown had an O-line who blocked for him you fucktard...Barry Sanders was a ONE MAN TEAM...you understand that right...A ONE MAN TEAM WITH NO O-LINE.
@Ultimate360Gamerz Barry Sanders had several all-pro players blocking for him on the O-Line... Lomas Brown, Kevin Glover, Jeff Hartings, and Eric Andolsek.
Barry was unreal, I remember most of these runs. The cliche "He could go the distance anytime he touches the ball" ....that was Barry.
Never once spiked the ball, never danced, just played the game at 110%.
He ran a 4.3 at the combine, and was know as the fastest man in the league over 10 yards. Look how fast he gets through a hole, noone else looks like he does. Switch jerseys and you could still spot him.
Only regret is that HD wasn't invented yet, i'd love to see his jukes in super HD.
Bottom line. Barry Sanders in his 30's, in his final season in the league was more elusive, quick, impossible to tackle and had more amazing moves than any other runningback in history as a rookie. Thats all you need to know if you never saw the man play.
I think I liked the NFL more when they actually ran the ball half the time or more. I can't remember the last time I saw a team line up in the "I" formation. It's all about big yard plays now.
Barry was the epitome of a class act. There are barely any players with his caliber and his unselfishness toward the game and everyone else around. Not to mention this guy had 10 younger siblings and took care of everyone of them. The guy is a legend a great man.
The thing I remember most about Barry was that he never celebrated on a score. Hell, he didn't even spike the ball. I remember he would always walk the ball over to the official and hand it to him. THAT'S CLASS!!! Players today have no class. They come in with a deserving attitude. It seems like once a week some NFL player makes the evening news about something illegal or nefarious he or his "group" has done. And a lot of'em need a hair cut.
best running back in the game! hated it when he played the packers.

I know everyone has their opinions on different things if life, and I am no different when I say this;
BARRY SANDERS IS THE ALL-TIME GREATEST SPORTS STAR IN HISTORY!

Does anyone know the time that Barry run on 100 metres?
BeNNzuFG 1 year ago
@BeNNzuFG Not sure about his 100 meters time, but from what I understand he ran a 4.37 40 yard dash.

i like that this vid has lots of real time game footage in addition to all the slow mo stuff. when you see barry in real time it just defies belief.

The man was the best RB ever. He did more with less of a team than any other RB ever has. I remember watching him run through the line, getting the ball ripped out. He got up, went back for the ball, and still got a first down. Amazing.

I was a huge Niners fan when Barry played. Everytime he touched the ball I would cringe. It was just a matter of time before he ripped a huge gainer.

your an idiot, he means that he was too good a player for them and they werent worthy.
HEATKING826 1 year ago
@Croozer Imagine if he would of ended up with the Niners Joe montana Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders
gologabob 2 years ago
The Niners had Roger Craig and Ricky Waters, they both deserve to be in the hall. The predominant line of this era was the Cowboys, look what they did for Emmitt Smith. Barry Sanders behind that line would have been truly astounding.
zeykshade 1 year ago
ok barry was a better caliber player than the lions deserved as they never protected the investment... imagine if they had drafted a line that could actually block or got a decent qb... im sorry we had good receivers in green and moore and perriman but peete was nothing after the torn achilles

switchhitter07 2 years ago 9
@switchhitter07 NO Jim Brown was incredible Barry Sanders wasnt even average Brown Could Run TWICE as fast as Barry Sanders plus Brown was way more elusive not even close Barry Sanders shouldnt even be in the Hall of Fame
CleavlandBrowns32 1 year ago
@CleavlandBrowns32 alright browns fan, barry is the most elusive back in history. you can argue that brown was better, even though he wasn't, but no one compares to barry in juking. he should be the all-time rushing leader and you know he would've been if he played like 2 more years
91893pray 1 year ago
@CleavlandBrowns32 Barry wasn't even average? You just plastered a moron sign on your forehead with that comment. Anything else you say from here on out has no credibility!
sableghost 1 year ago
@CleavlandBrowns32 You sir are about as retarded as they get...Barry Sanders was the MOST elusive back ever....Jim Brown had an O-line who blocked for him you fucktard...Barry Sanders was a ONE MAN TEAM...you understand that right...A ONE MAN TEAM WITH NO O-LINE.
Ultimate360Gamerz 1 year ago

UberKrispy 2 years ago
how many times has he been tackled. once. twice?
Cashman9899 2 years ago
Bottom line. Barry Sanders in his 30's, in his final season in the league was more elusive, quick, impossible to tackle and had more amazing moves than any other runningback in history as a rookie. Thats all you need to know if you never saw the man play.
rjb0978 2 years ago
@rjb0978 The quickest back to ever play the game. He should have been appreciated more. The media may run Tiger away to

The guy is a legend a great man.
mcstang007 2 years ago
The thing I remember most about Barry was that he never celebrated on a score. Hell, he didn't even spike the ball. I remember he would always walk the ball over to the official and hand it to him. THAT'S CLASS!!! Players today have no class. They come in with a deserving attitude. It seems like once a week some NFL player makes the evening news about something illegal or nefarious he or his "group" has done. And a lot of'em need a hair cut.
