@Marcel3540 It should sound just fine when recording. You could always upgrade the pickup to get whichever sound you prefer.

Cool, I looked up this video because this is the guitar that comes with the Rocksmith video game. I just wanted to know if it was a reliable guitar. The game works with any electric guitar but I don't want to throw my money away on a complete POS.

@13thStreetGuitars I have a Epiphone Les Paul Jr myself! It came with that "Rocksmith" video guitar game(for the PS3)and I might get that Gibson Melody Maker electric guitar for Xmas! Have you seen the Gibson Melody Maker? Or the Gibson Midtown Custom? Or the Gibson "B. B. King Lucille" guitar?

i wonder how can we tell if a guitar sounds good or not? if the sound is actually based on whatever amp we use.

@MrYouyada Yes, there are a lot of factors involved in what you hear. Also, this video was recorded with a digital camera in mono. That degrades the sound quite a bit. The EMG we installed definitely improved it's sound through the amp, though. The stock pickup on this was lifeless.

i have one.... it is COMPLETLY custom... it has a peavey tracer neck... the guitar is charcoal grey with a design that i made and put on there... i call it the clash because its a genre clash

@EpiphoneLPJrGuitar - Thanks for commenting - Take some lessons from a pro, and then practice, practice, practice. That's what Anthony did. He went from no experience to mind blowing skills in a matter of a few years.

I just bought a guitar just like this for $100 except with a sunburst finish. I'm not as good as the person in the video as I am just starting but damn this guitar is really cool.

@thebigbluedino Take it to a professional for a setup and fret dressing. Then it can play like the one in this video. (plus lots of practice and lessons to play like Anthony does!) Fun guitars, for sure.

@sdmiller01 You can get these for about 30 bucks cheaper at Guitar Center. Sam Ash had a deal a few weeks ago where they were only 100.

We fix the awful fret jobs that the Epiphone factory does, and then set them up with nice tight action and perfect intonation.
