  • HOT CHOCOLATE? ARE YOU CRAZY? COFFEE MAN, ONLY THING TO HEAT WATER FOR ANYWAY.

  • @wakeupofg hehheh, seems to be the drink of choice. I use the big one for lots of water issues. I have to do dishes at base camp LOL

  • The tapered principle gives more draft, you can see this with the stratus trail stove. I've made a few stratus like stoves with progressively more acute angle tapers and the more the taper the better the heat (to a certain point of course). Here is a video link:

  • His fire is hotter and cleaner. It will always be different with each new packing of fuel.

  • @Terratracks Vertical stacking is me goto choice for cleaner burning and longer burn times. Large diameter twigs will ignite easily with the right tinder choice. Yes, packing makes a difference. Practive packing for consistance results. I love my kettles Did you see my recent video of the huge kettle, holds 1 gallon safely. I'll make a pot support for it before spring gets here.

  • @zellph Yes i just viewed the 1 gallon attempt. Impressive.

  • @Terratracks I was pleasantly surprised to see how fast one gallon came to a boil. Kettles rock!

  • @zellph I should get a new K-kettle. My old one has seen decades of use.

  • thats pretty good!!!!

  • You would do well to get some neoprin and make a wrap for the exposed metal that would cause you to have a better boil the water would stay warmer longer too. The sleve should not burn since it is shielded by the water. Ron Paul 2012

  • @cdltpx Thanks for tip Ron Paul. It's a good way to keep tha heat in for sure. I'll search around for some thin neoprene. Thanks again Ron

  • Where can I get one of those?

  • I still think the Chinese are the kings on outdoor cooking equipment: no one else makes stainless as thin! :P

  • I want to there.

  • so the front hole with the cork holds water and it has a fire tube through the middle of it?genious....i luv it,where do you get them?or did you make it?

  • @bigaxe87 They are brilliant aren't they!

They come from Ireland, search Kelly Kettle and you will find their Europian website, they also have a USA Website if you search Kelly Kettle USA. Or, you can often pick one up on Ebay.

  • Interesting little fire cages seem to really amp up the flame in the KK. But if you want to use the available little grill for the KK, you're out of luck until you remove the cage. 'Course, if you're just boiling for a brew, it's great!

  • @mckannick Yes, that it correct. One of the nice things about the kk's are you can cook on top of them while they heat your water. I have a large, 6 cup kettle that I boil an additional 4 cups of water while the 6 cups come to a boil. Great base camp stove set-up.

  • How heavy are they ?

  • Their capacity is 2 cups of water. Heat 2 cups on top using the pot support shown in vid.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Nice demonstration. The one on the left is drawing more air through it and so burning faster.

Can you get 2 full mugs out of each one of these?

  • Awesome flame patterns coming out of those great looking kettles. I'll bet they would look even better at night. Nice!

  • Excellent comparison! Thank you.
