Marcus and laura separated in december 2010. He cheated on her ironicly with someone who looks similar to laura. No one can ever replace laura though! And he didnt write a whole album about the break up... Charlie fink did that after their breakup. I think laura wrote some of her new songs relating to marcus though. Like I Was An Eagle, and her "new rocky song." She plays them at concerts.

@TheMrJB yes he sure was. But, for this US tour, Mumford & Sons were doing their own tour and Laura Marling was doing a tour herself. They intersected for two nights both being in Philadelphia. Laura played on a Saturday and Mumford & Sons played on a Sunday. It was fun to see Marcus show up in the small bar sized audience and then jump up on stage and play some banjo instead of his usual drum kit/accordion/glockenspiel combo...I enjoyed seeing him plunk away on a banjo for once.

I saw Laura in Detroit. I was really hoping that Mumford and Sons would show up but alas nothing. That's so exciting that he was there!
