You can do this with a npn transistor :base to the positive lead of the audio input,collector to the negative lead of the led,the other led lead to the positive source 9v,and the emitter to the other 9v lead,the negative and to the negative audio imput.Hope you understand :D

@ibainesy uuhm idk but you can also use a tip 41 or 45 npn or try it with the leds directly to the speakers and add a battery to it that its glowing nood at its powerfull but 3/4 of the led and then maybe it works too
