My Friday the 13th wasn't bad at all. I can't remember having a bad Friday the 13th in the past, either. But, going back to being an optimist or pessimist, I've had a much better life with an optimistic outlook. I am saying this because, due to some very traumatic events, I used to be severely pessimistic; I'm anything but that now. It's been both a life changer and a life saver.

I am actually a very optimistic person, but I do not have high expectations going in to a lot of things. Like, I feel like there is always something to be happy about. I'm not saying that there is a reason to be happy 24/7, but I try to be. Obviously bad things happen, and I do get down occasionally, but every other day I try to stay quite content. I try to avoid thinking negatively because, to me, the saying "you only live once" pops in my mind. I don't want to live my days being sad.
