im a huge lewis fan and will always back him any time haters try to short change his career, however i really cant put him in my top 5. top ten hell yeah but not top 5. you have to ask yourself, was lewis greater then ali? no! joe louis? no! jack johnson? no! frazer? no! foreman? no! thats 5 already and we aint even mentioned holmes or liston yet.

Who did Lennox not try to fight in his career too. Riddick Bowe didnt want to give him a payday so he priced himselfout like a bitter teenager Lennox had to corner Holyfield to fight. Hes more underappreciated than Larry Holmes was. This guy was a superheavyweight 6 foot 5 long reach and he had and inside game he could do it all and hes among the biggest punching heavyweights of all time.

Look at Lewises resume man u cant deny that shit. Tell me the heavyweights who fought better opposition than Lewis. Only one thatll come to mind is Muhammad Ali man. Evander Holyfield and Vitali Klitschko hes got Ws over both those guys both those guys all time great heavyweights and to top that off he retired as champion beating everyone he ever faced including in the amateurs.

If you are talking top 5 in Heavyweights...I would not have him there..top 10, yes. If you are talking top 5 fighters all time, no. I would have Lennox in my top 40, though.

Lewis is possibly Top 10. No way Top 5.
Ali, Louis, Johnson, Jeffries, Holmes, Foreman, Dempsey, Marciano would all higher. I'd rank him alongside Tyson, Frazier, Holyfield and Liston.
