I am so disgusted in the way that the QLD Govt, Parks and Wildfire are negligent in the way in which they manage the dingos. They take away the food source and then let them starve! How can you go to work each day you miserable, cruel people. This is a serious crime of starvation. Why not do something positive and get a feeding program in place. Dingos are just like any other dog. Treat them mean, or starving them, of course they will be doing what they can for food. I applaud you Jennifer

I believe that the Queensland government should be held accountable for the cruel acts impossed on the Fraser Island Dingos.Tagging, starving, and shooting these precious animals should not be allowed to continue. It is my firm belief that whenever the government gets involved in something they know nothing about, death and destruction prevails. In this case, an innocent wild animal is being persecuted. Thank you, Jennifer for bringing the Dingos plight to the world stage.
The purpose of the Tags is so that DERM can kill them, when a tourist unfortunately tells the Rangers that a dingo came too close to their camp or whatever.
DERM say they tag so they can count the numbers of dingoes on the Island. The tagging Is HORRIFIC and BRUTAL, the dingo puppy ears are not big enough to sustain this painful act.
Tagging should be banned and so should the interfering and disturbing conducted by the Rangers, as this breaks up the dingo pack structure forever.

Residents of Fraser Island who took up selection in 1935 have fed dingos since that time, they had no attacks and the animals were timid and came for the food(left out not hand fed) and then disappeared back into the scrub. Since all food sources have been removed including brumbies a number of years ago these animals have become undernourished and more aggressive due to starvation. Why is the dingo not a tourist "must see". Calling ALL FERAL DOGS dingos allows this cruelty to continue.
Clearly Ear Tagging causes the Dingo a great deal of distress and causes disruption to their social order. Cruelty to all animals is intolerable and cannot be justified. This practice of Ear Tagging Dingos must cease.
Those who endorsed the decision to Ear Tag Dingos can reverse that decision. Have some compassion. Change what you know in your heart and soul to be wrong. Stop the animal cruelty and make that decision NOT to Ear Tag the Dingo.
Ear tagging provides a necessary purpose. It would have probably saved many dingoe lives in the 'Azariah Chamberlin incident' where thousands of dingoes were slaughtered needlessly. There does need to be a correct way of tagging these animals however and there should be some training and protocol inplace.
Jennifer Parkhurst has been recording the dingoes behaviour for over 7 years. In this footage we see how poor management by the Parks Rangers destroys the dingoes ear , prevents it from hearing properly and hunting. Ear Tagging should be BANNED. RSPCA does nothing to stop this barbaric behaviour, they should be shamed. We should all complain to Minister Kate Jones and demand that she puts a stop to this fatally flawed management of the Fraser Island Dingo. From little things , big things grow.
Minister Kate Jones said that Fraser Island is being managed under World Class Standards. Just watching this video here I am horrified by the way these Dingoes have been mauled by the Fraser Island Park Rangers. Obviously they dont care how they ear tag the dingo .
As far as I am concerned , eartagging should be BANNED. It's only purpose is so the Rangers can shoot them after a tourist makes an incident report against the dingo. Ear tagging deforms the dingoes ear and prevents it from hunting.
