I wish I had synesthesia... It fascinates me... I wish i could have colored sound. Since I'm an artist, I think it would be cool to draw what I would see. I wish I could be on just for a moment... It would be awesome. Is that weird to say?

Okay I think people look like words! So does my friends brother lol! She sent me here to look at these videos! Like i look at a person or even an animal and think "That person looks like the word "taste" or the word "spider"!! Its been happening since i was like 5 or 6 and ive seen old stories and papers thru out the years saying things like "Kevin bacon looks like the word fluff"! Coud this be synesthesia too? I think its cool!

I have color synesthesia, thats seeing unique colors in every number, and i also see a color with every sound i hear.. It's cool to see what kind of color every persons voice has! I also tast certain sounds sometimes.... mostly they taste like a girls v*gina.. ^^ Or also like when you put a battery against your tongue... :)

Is there a type of synesthesia where one smells something when they see a certain object? Because I "smell" ladybugs. Is that weird?

I love it! I also "taste" people through 'synesthesia', from sweet through to bitter. I always thought it was my sense of smell or something. What a relief - and delight - to discover someone else who does it too... LOL... :))

How interesting! I also have synesthesia, and I can taste words. I have been able to do this for as long as I can remember. I can only slightly taste faces, but not like you can. I am known to taste words and I think we synesthetes deserve more attention! Very interesting clip!

Tasting Faces is a rare synaesthesia. I can taste voices and see a persons "color" but man dude, your taste faces synaesthesia perplexes me!

Though I may not agree on variant faces (synesthesia being individual in experience)... I understood easily enough. That's what is neat about Synesthesia, too - I 'get it'...

does the picture affect the taste? or is it the same if you saw that person anywhere else, because i noticed the shade of the picture kinda related to the taste listed

No. The taste is the same anywhere, but the taste can change with the person´s gesture, when they smiles, for example. Is difficult to explain, but all the senses are chained, a face can have a taste, a smell, a "touch" sensation, etc, all together or to be completely "neutral". For me the most "perfect" people, like fashion models are almost neutral, maybe because their faces are unexpressive or very "standard".

Oh my gosh! I taste faces too! I don't get a food for every face I see, and many of them are really bizarre. Bill Clinton tastes like sweet potatoes and my uncle tastes like a hamburger. Snoops from the Disney movie "The Rescuers" tastes like cottage cheese and sloppy joes. I had a doll that tasted like noodles and another that tasted like tuna on crackers. (So her name was Tuna, recently changed to Tsuna because I like that better.)

wow i totally agreed on so many of those!

i think it's all kinds of associations working at the same time... can't say i notice this so much anymore, but i used to have this a lot stronger when i was a kid! i think i can bring it back though. i remember this girl next door looked like caramel to me. the hard toffee kind to be exact.
