  • Are there any groups that are active in ireland where that concerns the making-available of medicinal cannabis to patients (Cancer, AIDs, MS, Gilles de la Tourette, Crohn's granulomatous colitis etc) ?

There is an govt-of-Ireland Inc. -sponsored MS Society in Ireland, is there not? On which street are its headquarters of corporate operations located in Dublin ... {...} who is in the neighborhood , over there down that way ?

  • If the MS Trust is active in Ireland you'll find they are far more PRO CANNABIS the the MS Society.

The MS Society were not supportive of my stance at all!

    The MS Trust were!

  • It amazes me how politicians ignore expert truths about medical cannabis use and just drone on parrot fashion with the same old dogma and ignorance -goos luck mate, hope you get to visit home.

  • thankx

The politician seen in video reads a script...that is written by thePA to the Irish minister for health & children Ms Mary Harney (no-party party, since her former party Progressive Democrats voted themselves out of existence in2008.

She remains, however, minister regardless if she has a political party or not (its always personal in IRL).

MHarney receives a payment by licence from the UK pharma Co. 2 run cannabis "experiments" on the dying Irish.

It is a simple question of money.

  • Why are they so adamant that cannabis has no medical use when so much proof is available to the contrary?

It is just blind political dogma and an ignorant refusal to accept expert truth that causes a lot of suffering to medical cannabis users - I hope you can get to visit home mate, but am not too hopeful after hearing the same-same old excuses repeated parrot fashion. Good luck!

  • My apologies for the problems casued over my comment.

It angers me to know that the Irish have been experimenting on dying citizens from 2001 in a bid to invent precisely the same kind of product the Dutch have access to on prescreption. In the Netherlands scientists and neurologists have researched cannabis from the 1970s with positive results for various illness from MS to aids wasting syndrome.

  • Im really upset that my mother had to remove the comment she made. Last night, as many of you know, I received a scathing attack from one of the local powerful persons in the Central Party of Ireland.

He was outraged that my mother had a YouTube account that "looks like" his address... as it was "bad" to be associated with that kind of thing.

He wrote a horrible email, blaming me for CannabisNI's comment.

He told me I was making a total f-up of things. He forced my mum to remove her comment.

  • Some years ago my then neurologist wrote to the Minister for Health and the Minister for Justice seeking permission to prescribe marijuana as a treatment for me - my disability is Generalised Dystonia - described by neurologists as a 'chronic involuntary movement disorder'. My doctor advised both government ministers that "all other medication had failed to relieve the symptoms of my disability". Despite my doctors commitment to supervise marijuana given to me, they refused his request. Paddy.

  • Medical abuse? Kitt you asshole. Give the people what they need!!!!

  • Hi, thanks. First of all: no need for profanity on this page, although I understand you are angry.

You say that Kitt should "give the people what they need": however, this is simply not the case. The patient in question does not require anything from the Irish health system. That's because they already have it from their pharmacy (prescription).

What they 'are' asking Mr Kitt & Dublin Castle, is "not" to arrest him should he visit his parents; and to stop "threatening" to arrest him. No more.

  • Well if their asking for him not to be arrested whats wrong with me saying give the people what they want?

  • There's nothing wrong with asking questions. Please remember, had I not asked that question from you directly, then others visiting this web-page would not know it was going on.

That's called dialogue. And it's v.important in these kinds of affairs.

Yours is a v correct & intelligent Q btw. Yes: other MS patients in Ire are suffering: but a change in the IRL law is required to help them...not me. no more profanity. family are suffering b'cos of your profanity. thanks Noel McCullagh-Winters

  • The Irish government need to looking into changing the laws.

Classing cannabis as having no medicinal use oes against thousands of years of it's safe use (not one death related to cannabis use ever!) and it goes against a lot of research.

Many countries including others in the EU and 13 American states recognise the medicinal values of cannabis.

Even pharmectuical companies know cannabis has medical value, only they can't patent a plant hence the extracts or syntetic compounds they wish to sell

  • wauw... long time to wait
