I specifically played that song for the audition as I felt it had a Pumpkinesque feel to it. I can truly say it's an unconscious influence and I believe there have been many songs made that have the same chord progression. You can see a clip of that song in my live video and you'll see the foundation of the song is different. I appreciate the comment, and congrats for the good ear, I'll take it as a compliment :D
