Ive own my srt4 since 05 nd it's pretty much functional it let's air in to let the turbo cool off . Its not fully functional because of the plastic piece but it let's air in .... @JCSRT35R i recently just did this test to and you are right it flows air. not much at all but it flows minimal air. if you take a quick glance at the scoop it looks blocked but if you look close there is about a 2 to 3mm opening at the bottom. ill man up and apoligize maybe i should have looked closer. but sorry i dont focus on the hood scoop all day lol. when i put in my 3" 02 housing and 3" downpipe wednesday i checked the scoop so sorry for whoever i pissed off.
ok first off, the 2-Step is what creates that (machine gun sound) which DOESNT hurt the motor if installed correctly dumbasses. Secondly, the hood, is completely mesh, if you have eyes you can tell, the whole hood is pretty much see-through. do people just troll to troll now-a-days?

@RedCell117 he didnt cover it its an aftermarket mesh hood that was discontinued some odd years ago. look it up its actually quite interesting. and the stock hood has no effect at all on the motor or turbo.

no 2 steppin is a launch control they come stock on STI's and Evo's since there 4 wheel drive. 2 step is just basically modulates the ignition by cutting power to individual ignition coils to hold the RPM you want to launch at. The turbo will spool up while you do this.
@neonrules20 dude im sorry but a quick correction, sti's and evo's dont come stock with 2step. u gotta have a cobb access port and set the rev's limit with the cruise control, and u can put a 2step to an srt4, u just gotta use AEM ems.
good christ. the rev limiter is stock but can be removed. its not recommended considering it was put on for the safety of your motor. there is also a 2step which is programmable on a good ems which can easily be confused

Your SRT4 looks kinda nice and all and I understand all your biased opinions but damn son the way you're breathing its sounds like you have more than one issue.
So what if the hood vent/scoop ends near the manifold. You act as if he has pulled the oil and water lines from the turbo. Why mention the guy is over weight..... Man.... everywhere you go YOU SHIT all over the place.

but i have to disagree, that's probably one of the carbon-fiber or fiberglass aftermarket hoods that came that way, notice its primer grey? there are a ton of hoods for all different cars that when you buy them after market come with the scoop closed, just look at alot of the ss hoods and mustang hoods a lot of them are closed too, he didn't do it
but then again with the way he was revving out he might have

no 2 steppin is a launch control they come stock on STI's and Evo's since there 4 wheel drive. 2 step is just basically modulates the ignition by cutting power to individual ignition coils to hold the RPM you want to launch at. The turbo will spool up while you do this.

@neonrules20 dude im sorry but a quick correction, sti's and evo's dont come stock with 2step. u gotta have a cobb access port and set the rev's limit with the cruise control, and u can put a 2step to an srt4, u just gotta use AEM ems.

good christ. the rev limiter is stock but can be removed. its not recommended considering it was put on for the safety of your motor. there is also a 2step which is programmable on a good ems which can easily be confused
