@iagorockboy First of all, it is not being made by ValvE so the devs probably dont have as much expirence, second of all, the Half-Life storyline is much longer than the Half-Life 2 storyline, so it will probably take longer. As i beleive, Half-Life 2 started being developed in 2000, so that took 4 years. So only two years extra for a group of people that are less expirenced than ValvE, working on a more difficult project will probalby take alittle extra time... Just throwing it out there!

Guys think about it this way. Zelda was most likely a good part of your child hood and probably brings back a lot of memories so will HL. What do they mean by beta? As in, a beta is released either publicly or privately. This is meant so the company can get feedback on the problems and fix them before they release the game. No, it hasn't been finished which is surprising considering they've been making it for 6 years...
