  • It's not just women who get abused. it's men too. and a lot of times our society just blames the men. its not right.

  • It really is sad that there is not much available for a man when he is abused. Men are labeled as cowards when they hit a woman, yet, labeled less of a man when they do not strike a woman. Such a double edge sword.

  • Most exciting thing she does is dye her mother's hair

  • The guy is gone all the time at work, when he comes home he goes out to bars. She is home by herself all the time with the kids. She is not allowed to go back to work..He is staring at other women,he's lying to her.He doesn't spend time with her,he doesn't take her anywhere.I'd go crazy too home day in and day out with kids and no break.Poor guy?cause he wasn't allowed to stay and watch a stripper?I agree she shouldn't of hit him one hundred percent, she should of left him..She is at home always

  • It's ridiculous the way courts favor women in all things. My uncle's lawyer during his divorce from his psychotic wife told him, "If you get angry and throw a pillow, and it hits a fire iron, and the iron falls over and touches her foot, you'll go down for abuse." And she ended up with the kids, even though she was crazy and never worked.

Both hetero and homosexual men can be abused by their partners, but nobody ever speaks out for them. It makes me sick.

  • @MariAnKenobi You're pretty humorous and witty for someone who is expressing disgust at coed domestic abuse lol :)

  • @porkchopenvy I don't think I understand why.

  • Domestic violence needs to be taken seriously regardless of what gender the abuser or abused is.

  • I feel so bad for him...this is not funny.

  • Where was this filmed?

  • @GypsyFairy85 San Francisco, I think

  • o natural selection. Height and physical strength aren't synonymous studies indicate that women have superior muscular endurance and a stronger lower-body men in contrast have more potential to build bulk in the upper-body for a longer period of time but overall when women and men are socialized similarly from a physical standpoint you'll not be able to identify a significant difference in strength just in the way it's attained. Women are increasingly becoming a physical threat to society and

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd if both genders continue to subscribe to the masculine perspective of things we'll gradually go backwards in our spiritual ascension, women will be the new bad boys on the block.

  • Why aren't there more movies like this now, when there's probably more violent women than ever. The latest large study done on DV from the Journal of Public Health interviewed 11,000 men and women in 2007 showed that women now actually initiate violence MORE, and not in self-defence.

I have a strong feeling this is going to be one of those 180 moments where it's suddenly going to explode after being too long surpressed and swept under the rug.

Kudos to pioneering movies like this tho!

  • @unfortunatebeam I was wondering the same thing we need to make more content on this subject, spread the word

  • @unfortunatebeam those kind of women are probably more violent because most men were raised to not hit women. this gives women a saftey blanket which causes them to act out.

  • The wide needs professional help, men need to stop putting on a macho facade and address the issues they face up hand if they don't ultimately it will only get worse. Women are gradually freeing themselves from the myth of physical inferiority as a result must be held equally accountable for the crimes they commit, let's protect humanity.

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd macho cream puff phenomenon is definately ending, and men who act in that deluded way are from here on out goinjg to be increasingly called out for it by the increasing numbers of men (and women) who now know better due to the spread of knowlege and information about these things by sites like youtube, etc.

  • 0:40 I would be filling for divorce and full custody of the kid no questions asked. That bitch is crazy.

  • judith light is a great actress! i rememeber watching this in hight school! my god!

  • 1:27:54-1:31:21, Wow! He really showed her!

  • What happened to the nice and sweet Angela Bower?

  • @bluecatky trouble, plus, they don't want their children taken away from their Mother. Good movie, though!

  • @bluecatky I agree! Unless it's in self-defense, no one has the right to hit another person. Just because it was a woman hitting her husband doesn't make it okay. The first hit is one too many, & should be the last. That husband should have reported her to the police so that the courts could force her to get help. However, it's a double standard, making the husband appear weak, & the fact that many times men aren't believed. They also don't want to get their wives in any sort of legal

  • It is a sad story, but I still find the stories of battered women more heartbreaking. At least a man is physically capable of defending himself, but a woman can't do much if the man sets out to hurt her, plus there is often financial dependency as well. Women can be mean and vicious and destroy families and relationships, but they can't hurt and frighten their partner as it is possible the other way round.

  • @maybeaspie38

"but I still find the stories of battered women more heartbreaking". Thats because you've been conditioned to feel that way. It's sexist at it's core. This is the one film feminists and their menfolk DON'T want you to see. This film is also VERY hard to find(before it was posted on youtube).

  • @maybeaspie38 Women aren't physically weaker society however does socialize them to be less capable of defending themselves, women are just as dangerous. Violence isn't gender specific, and women should stop playing the victim role.

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd well they usually are naturally physically weaker. HOWEVER, they can work out, earn martial arts whatever to get stronger (as many more are doing now). But it's not even just about physical strength. There's all kinds of equalizers women can use to make up for a smaller body size.

  • @unfortunatebeam On the contrary women start out pound for pound stronger then men but over the course of their lifetime society beats them again and again into submission with the false notion of male physical supremacy-we're beginning to move past this as demonstrated in the growing numbers of women participating in sports and physically demanding jobs such as cops, construction workers etc. Men are on average are slightly taller than their female counterparts but that's due t

  • Lifetime would never ever show this movie.

  • @GDelva2003 Yea the do.

  • @billybassman21

When did they show this movie?

  • Comment removed

  • Good movie, thanks for uploading!

  • that bitch is fuckin nuts, she's my ex..... with teeth...

  • That's a real man if I've ever seen one.

  • I've been searching for this movie for years. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • This guy wife has very serious problems like having a anger problem very short fuse, gets into fights, arguements, making a big deal out of nothing, plus hittin' her husband, breaking things and even hittin' her own kids. this lady needs to be put in a jail or mental hospital that's where she belongs so she'll never hurt anyone again...she's just a crazy woman a person like her will hardly changed or never will change...beware for a person like this one here.

  • thank u so much for posting this

  • I actually wouldn't mind being in a relationship like this to some extent.

  • He would be arrested and throw in jail today in a instant. They don't need to see you beating your wife, they just assume you did.

  • Tht was a good movie good for ed for standin up for himself

  • thanks for posting this. I've been looking for it since I saw it in 93. Pathetic that Lifetime doesn't play it.

  • thank youuuuuuuuu!!!!

  • Crazy bitch needs to put in a mental hospital!

  • If I was that guy, i would have called the cops and had the bitch arrested the first time she struck me.

  • He should have ditched that psycho after the first slap. Fucking bitch needs anger management.

  • @thejobloshow The only problem with the ending is....you see that the woman needs help. ok. But she does try to tell him....and he cuts her off. No more he says. NO MORE WILL I LISTEN TO YOU. Go get help on your own, or don't come back at all. essentially.

It's really sad to see that at last she starts to acknowledge something, and then she lashes out again. She clearly needs help. shes suffering from what happened to her in her childhood. You can label her as a crazy bitch thejobloshow, but

  • @kdreamland

she admitted several times in the movie that she needed help, and that she knows she has some issues to work out. Anyone with a personality like hers, both male and female would sit there and admit they need help. But like most people, did she do anything about it? of course not, and he wasnt gonna take her empty promises and apologies anymore, as he should have much sooner, but its good he got out when he did

  • lol, if you're a woman getting beaten up and you can't leave it's because they feel trapped, or because of the kids, or because they still love the man. and it's understandable. They need support and the courage to leave that bastard.

But if a man can't leave....it's because he's weak. Beacuse he's spinless, a bitch. Because he's an idiot. Because he likes it in some weird sexual way. Grow A pair.

That seems right to me. YET I KNOW IT'S WRONG. Why is it so hard to get my head around this?

  • What the hell is wrong with her? What the hell is wrong with him? Why dont you just leave the phsyco your a strong man grow some balls. I understand more if you were Norbit.

  • @Leatitia14 He loves her. Its not that simple. You keep praying that this is just a phase and not the real thing.

  • why on earth is it so hard to find this movie? just typing in men don't tell, or men don't tell movie brings up such random crap.....

  • @kdreamland It's hard to find because feminists hated it.

  • As the movie accurately shows, for an innocent man who's the victim of a woman's domestic violence, the police are his worst enemy. Like "good German soldiers," they hatefully and bigotedly follow the "orders" training of their evil leader (fuhrer) who enforces the gender feminist thugocracy.

  • Most male victims of a women's domestic violence don't have happy endings to their stories. Most often no one believes them or helps them. They are simply battered by the female, then battered even worse by the taxpayer funded, domestic violence industry. For battered men their battering never ends.

  • A RARE film.

  • That was alright for a straight to TV movie.

  • @SelfDisgust Why do you think it was straight to TV? Nobody wants to hear that men are abused. 50% of abusers are women.

  • @MisandryMotif Atleast 50% of abusers are women.

  • @SelfDisgust Indeed, AT LEAST 50% is more accurate. And women initiate mutual violence at least 70% of the time.

  • @MisandryMotif And not just physical abuse, but emotional abuse as well.

We have this society with jokes that we're scared of our wives/lovers, well with good reason! Granted, I think a woman has the right to playfully wack her husband, but I think the only woman a man should fear is his mother, and that's only when he's out of line.

  • This was excellent for a straight to TV movie. Fucking 8.5/10 on IMDB is what it should be.

  • Thank you sooo much! I have not been able to find this movie anywhere for years! You are amazing!

  • Excellent film and thanks for posting it. This is Hollywood and this situation/outcome is a "perfect storm" by realities standards. If 1% of battered men's situations ended as this one did, incredible progress for abused men and fathers could be claimed. As the wars in the Middle East will never end, likewise shall be the war against men and fathers. Battles will be won by both sides of this war, each claiming their advancement towards victory, unknowing that this war can't and won't ever end

  • Two weeks ago, my father spoke with Harry Winer, the movie's director while preparing a new web page dedicated to the subject.

    OtherFaceOfAbuse org

  • @lwaits1975 Respect you and to your father. I have been in the situation described by this film. Twice as an adult and once as a child. Tell the truth and tell you Dad that those of us who have been there are grateful.

  • AHH... You're scaring the hell out of me JUDITH! Pardon the language. For a tiny woman, she's pretty tough.

  • I COULDN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE. THANKS SO MUCH! Is their daughter the little girl that played on Phenom with Judith Light. If not it looks a lot like her.

  • @JamJam2014 The little girl is the same actress who played opposite Light in "Phenom." Her name is Ashley Johnson; she also played the youngest daughter on "Growing Pains."

  • @MissBowerMicelli Thanks. I looked it up right after though lol. I couldn't believe I didn't know who it was, she's in so many movies I've watched. Then I look at pictures and I'm like oh my god, how could I not see this before? haha. Proves I'm a natural blonde no matter what color I dye my hair.

  • Thanks so much NoMoreDVLies!! Thanks!! I couldn't wait to see Judith Light in this!!! HAHA!!!

  • Thank you for showing this movie! I have been looking forward on seeing this for a long time! Judith Light played the role of Laurie MacAffrey well! Peter Strauss also did a good job in this movie! This movie was intense and dramatic!

  • When the man says : "Why is it always about you"? he is closer to the problem than he ever knew! A woman hit by her parents, made to be a narcissist ..... 1000 of men experience exactly the same dynamics!
