Don't be so sure about that. When you guys had an off year in the 06-07 season, attendance took a hit especially in the student section. They said attendance was so bad you could go to the arena 15 minutes before tip-off and still get seats. Besides, it can't be that hard to sellout an arena that seats less than 10,000 people.
Regardless of the size of their stadiums, dukes fan base is more loyal to their team. In 20+years of watching duke Ive never once seen a home game less than sold out, even in the 06-07 20-11 season. Duke also has roughly 6K students vs UNCs 30K. Also, UNC is widely more popular in the state of North Carolina and the whole country. I think Maxim magazine said once that Duke was the most hated team in all sports. UNC can and should easily sellout every home game with no problems.
Maybe in basketball but not in any other sport really. When it comes to football, you're lucky if Duke's stadium is half full for home games. I'm sure they are one of the most hated teams is all sports but they can't be THE most hated team. The Yankees probably top that list. People think teams are hated because they win all the time. Not necessarily. In Duke's case, it has more to do with the behavior of their fanbase than anything they have won.

Theyre hated because they are always good, (honestly 20-11 isnt that bad of year for an ACC team) that and the fact that its known as a rich preppy school. No college program wins championships all the time, unless you go back into the golden years of UCLA.
You think that's the only reason people hate Duke? They haven't even been to the Elite 8 since 2004, yet they are still hated so that's obviously not the reason. There are many reasons why Duke is hated (i.e. their coach, their fans, their flopping players, etc.) but being good isn't the main one. We have a winning seasons year after and have held a #1 seed in Div I BB 11 out of 22 seasons, thats once every other year on avg

Don't be so sure about that. When you guys had an off year in the 06-07 season, attendance took a hit especially in the student section. They said attendance was so bad you could go to the arena 15 minutes before tip-off and still get seats. Besides, it can't be that hard to sellout an arena that seats less than 10,000 people.

Regardless of the size of their stadiums, dukes fan base is more loyal to their team. In 20+years of watching duke Ive never once seen a home game less than sold out, even in the 06-07 20-11 season. Duke also has roughly 6K students vs UNCs 30K. Also, UNC is widely more popular in the state of North Carolina and the whole country. I think Maxim magazine said once that Duke was the most hated team in all sports. UNC can and should easily sellout every home game with no problems.

Maybe in basketball but not in any other sport really. When it comes to football, you're lucky if Duke's stadium is half full for home games. I'm sure they are one of the most hated teams is all sports but they can't be THE most hated team. The Yankees probably top that list. People think teams are hated because they win all the time. There are many reasons why Duke is hated (i.e. their coach, their fans, their flopping players, etc.) but being good isn't the main one. Im a Duke fan and Im not jealous of Kentucky either, we have 3 modern national titles. Duke might have 6 or 7 titles if they established a serious BB program in the 40s and 50s. We have won more games since 2000 than any other team in Div I BB; we also have the highest winning percentage in the NCAA tourney of any other school in Div I BB. We have a winning seasons year after and have held a #1 seed in Div I BB 11 out of 22 seasons, thats once every other year on avg

I won't bring up the fact that since he left Duke nobody has heard about your star JJ.
