These lights are good UNTIL you use them with a DMX controller - with the CA8 hand held controller-incluning the built in light show you CAN invert -BUT when you use a DMX controller DIP 10 does NOT work- at all so very limited use !

decided to go for the led ones because my rig was comsuming too much power because of all the sound equipment.

like these ones though :)

yeah forget what i said - you wanna stay with halogen xD

last year i was convinced led was the way to go but ive had a lot more experience since then and tbh id stay with halogen scanners :)

the 250 versions are better in every way :P

those lights aren't bad, but they don't have separate gobo and colors... you are forced to use the color/gobo combos that they give you, and as a light board operator, that just doesn't fly with me.

most led fixure's are the equivilant of 250w halogen

The led's arent as good because they dont have gobos. Plus they arent as bright either. Get 250's!!! Amazing lights!

american dj x-scan led is pretty bright and it has both color and gobo wheel!

Hi, I just nought these and I had a quick question. I have set up two of them and put the master with dipswitch 1 on and the slave with dipswitch 10 on but my CA-8 controller only works in the slave unit. Any ideas?

I've just tried having master on 1 and slave on 10 with two of my dynamos and they worked perfectly fine. But I think i've had that problem before with all of my dynamoes working together and even though in the manual it doesnt say anything about doing this i have dips 2,3 and 4 on....

That normally sorts that problem out

Ha.. not too worry they actually looked quite amazing last night.. I still wish I could disable the strobe effect for untill i wanted strobe on, i prefer the patterns going round the room x]

Yer i know about that strobe thing because i find that verry annoying! But I found a way to stop it by if you've got a CA8 controller then det the mode button so that the LED is just on. But the problem with doing that is that you only get one coulor of light on them.

No im afraid you cant but the only lights you can link with the dynamoes are of the following: Acme Dynatwins, Dynarock and dynarocktwins.

Yeah that's helped but they are always on the same colour whereas yours seem to have two on green and two purple for example, was this just what they did by them selves?

I got four of these lights and link them together via dmx but i can never get them to put on such awesome shows as this, is there some combination of the switches on the bottom or something.

I mean i epecially can't get two of them to have a different globo to the other two. Any help would be brillient

Yer sure....

You guys who dont have these lights probably wont know what i'm on about so sorry! But To make it look awesome like that is to make sure that DIP SWITCH 10 is switched on at the bottom of each of the two middle lights of your lighting show....
