  • The Onil stove is changing and protecting lives all over Guatemala, and helping curb deforestation at the same time. It's a God-send to the indigenous in Guatemala and God bless the people at Helps International!

  • Their homes are very dark. They should adapt the 1.5 pet bottle "solar bulbs"(filled with water and a bit of sodium hypochlorite(Clorox-to prevent algae growth) installed half-in and half-out of the roof). Works like a 50 watt-bulb.

  • @tutulick : You're right about using the Solar Bottle Bulb, promoted by Liter of Light in the Phillipines. I can't wait to try these here in Guatemala. Thanks for the reminder!

  • @CommentsSurvey De nada!

  • simple but great

  • great job

  • you can do a biogas digestor like the one in this video

    youtube.com/watch?v=j8feQVxvuBM&feature=related

everyone has digestion and they can have all the waste go into the biodigestor and use methane to cook and heat even to produce electricity. it can be a community project and everyone that contributes can benefit, no more deforestation and no more CO2 problems you can do it!!! it is inexpencive to do and maintenance free!
