I like black metal more b/c it's more dark and raw. The albums Pure Holocaust (by Immortal) and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (by Mayhem) are just fucking awesome and I've never heard a thrash metal album that has the same effect on me. Though, I really like Slayer's first three albums--especially the second (Hell Awaits) and the third (Reign in Blood), because they're dark and abrasive. Oh, and Warbringer is pretty awesome
