Many people don't really understand what "transparency" is. But the main issue at stake is that participation in a secret society means that you don't answer to those who are unable to look. The Obama plan seems to be one of taking down the barriers to government and bringing in the principle of shame under scrutiny. I think I'm in favor.

This is HUGE!!! What a true way to empower the American people and take back our government. We must have knowledge, and it must be given to us by our President. (and most Presidents don't want us to have this info and this power...better to keep us unempowered so that they can carry on doing what they want to do)

Something I notice the current administration doing to prevent becoming transparent is stressing the issue of the legal rights of queers. An odd subject to stress when wars are being fought, but nonetheless an EXTREMELY important one to me. What is your stance on that, Mr. Obama?
