  • this made me put one on mine, yours looks good. i got a 99 xlt. but did you have a problem hooking your intake onto the airbox?

  • do you guys think i could put a body lift for a 1998 like this one to fit my 1999 explorer xlt?

  • U say u have a ranger body lift right ?

Think the 96 Ranger 3inch body lift will fit my explorer ? : 0

  • what type of grille is that? and where can i get it for my 97 explorer?

  • R.I.P.

  • yo finally somebody else has the 97 4.o sohc i got one too its actually pretty fast and it is fully stock for now but it has the same sound as your v-8 i dont know if theres something wrong with the engine but it sounds so much more powerful than everybody elses 4.0 idky maybe ill make a video but yeah im gonna be using the site stylin trucks.com and its a really easy to use to find upgrades btw if you have a sport you should make a vid i cant find any offroading videos of them.

  • This thing is still not SAS'd hahahahahha

  • @1989SBC240sx will be, im buildin it to a trail rig, but first i got this bad azz ranger, gonna make it a total trail rig, im talkin dana 44s or 60s full width, trimmed fenders, dove tailed bed, 40 " tires or bigger, lockers, granny low gears, its gonna be a total chick magnet, when i cruise it will put all those lil nissan cars to shame, and all the ladies will want to ride, but it keeps fat chicks out cause they cant jump

  • @unicyclerider15 you are fucking a poser lame ass

  • @666timmartin you are soo cool. this is so old. by the way i rolled it last night. 4 times.

  • Nice explorer, dont like the fact that its the V8 though

  • @FPGT24 thanks. why dont ya like v8? gas mileage im assuming....

  • @unicyclerider15 I only get about 14mpg in my 97 SOHC V6. I was born and raised around V6's and am a V6 guy. The 5.0L only has 5 more hp than my SOHC and it has a 4 speed auto...my 97 has 5 speed auto. I like being able to take off like a bat out of hell the short gearing in my 5 speed auto helps. I never really cared for the 5.0L in the Ford trucks (i like the 5.0L in the Mustang tho) i never liked the sound of them.

  • @FPGT24 good points, i always kinda wanted a 4.0 likein my ranger, i wish i got 14 mpg. and i love the mustang 5.0, the only point i have to disagree with is that you dont think they sound good. even with not much more power, with my current flowmaster setup they sound a hell load more beast then the 4.0, even when the 4.0 has a decent exhaust

  • Nice ride, but also wondering how the tires are holding up and how many miles you have on them now? Looking at buying a set for my 2010 F150 and worried they will fall apart driving on the highway about 75% and offroad 25%.

  • im also thinking of putting a supercharger in it

  • hey what year of ranger body lift kit did you get

  • I love this setup man. Beautiful. Hows the gas mileage looking though?

  • @BTBAM2169 thank you. and my gas mileage is terrible, but i have the v8 model, and o2 sensors need replaced here soon, so that will improve it.

  • what year of ford ranger did you get the body lift from, and whats the name of the shackles you got and how much did they cost

  • how much did it cost you to gget the ranger body lift, torsion twist, shackles

  • @MsFordzilla around 300. you can do it a little cheaper or more expensiv

  • hey whats the sites you went to get the torsion twist, shackles and ranger body lift

  • hey how hard was it to lift it i went to a four wheel drive shop and they told me that i cant lift my eddie bauer edition explorer and i want to prove them a holes wrong let me know what tips and tricks you did to jack up your explorer

  • @MsFordzilla lol. same thing happened to me. i proved the shop here in lincoln wrong. and it's easy and cheap no matter what they tell you.

  • @MsFordzilla heck yeah! I had the same deal, I didn't think i could do it, so i went to a truck shop, they said it can't be done. I showed them up. and it's so easy, yet they say its impossible and expensive, it takes a while to explain everything but get on explorerforum. com look up "torsion twist, shackles and ranger body lift" you can google it. hope you go for it, and get video

  • hey where did you get the 3 inch body lift at and where did you get the shackles i have a 96 ford explorer with a v8 thats awd and im wanting to lift it

  • need an exhaust definately man but nice stance as always these trucks just look right when they are lifted...TRUE DUALS!!! haha

  • very nice i love it! didnt think an explorer would look good lifted but you proved me wrong! great vid!

  • 33x12.5x15???

  • hey what brand of shackles did you buy and where did you get them?

  • @Mryekim12 i made them. easy to make, or you can buy cheap ones. they sell them at auto zone for like $20 or 30 but they aren't quite as durable. i think on explorerforum most use road warrior shackles or something like that.

  • For your fog lights you should have just run them through the grill.. Speaking of where did you get the grill? Also how much did it end up costing you for all this?

  • thats sick! never thought of jacking up an explorer

  • @njwrestler951 thanks. and they are a great offroad vehicle.

  • @unicyclerider15 I love mine. i had a 98 sport but the motor went out, so now i have a 98 xlt. they are awesome off road vehicles.

  • If you have a sag in the rear You might want to look in to monroe max-air air shocks.

Ther adjustable from min 20 psi to 150 psi and will really firm up and lift your ride for cheep 130 cdn and 2hr install tops. Probably need new shocks anyhow d: How long did it take you to do the body lift any isues ?

  • i wouldn't worry about getting it repainted, just cover it up w/ mud, lol.

  • @memphiskicksass lol. good idea. i haven't got it painted yet. idk if i'll ever get around to it, but it usually has mud so you cant see it. lol. i might bedline the gray parts though.

  • About a week ago I got me a 97 awd explorer with the 5.0 v8. One day ill have it setup like yours but for now its stock. Nice setup tho

  • what kind of rims u got?

  • @asouthernredneck11 cragar soft 8's. pretty cheap and very durable, and aesthetic rim.

  • @unicyclerider15 what size rim for stock tires. i have a 98 mountaineer and i wanted to order some but what size and demisions do i get

  • @asouthernredneck11 16" rims and 7" wide i think, and you need to order them in 5x4.5" bolt pattern. 16"x7"

  • @unicyclerider15 thanks man. and what kind of body lift will work?

  • what kind of rims u got.

  • This is exactly what I'm doing with my Explorer.

  • @nicolexlee awsome! a girl with an explorer, and your going to lift it! id help you do it if you lived close.

  • How much did the lift cost you? I also have an 98 xplorer, looking to get it lifted

  • Nice explorer, I am getting ready to do this to my 97 Mountaineer, I can't wait.

  • how do u do the torsion bar thing again, and u said that u had to redue the torsion bar what did u mean by that. thanks this would help me out

  • @theriders4life take the stress of the front end with a jack and stands (keep it safe!) and tighten the torsion adjustment bolt on both bars. measure curb height before and after tightening. repeat until you get the front about 3 inches higher than before, and it will settle a little after driving around the block.

  • @unicyclerider15 what kind of lift do you have on it (brand)

  • for the front lift all i have to do is tighten the torsion bars?

  • @SxGTermin4tor yep, for about 2 to 3 inches

  • Whats your gas mileage like?

  • Nice lookin explorer man. I got a question about your tires. Im about to buy some 35/12.5/r18 federal m/ts for my f150. I wanted to know how they handle on the road? Are they like crazy loud? I want a aggressive tire but i dont want my teeth rattling while i drive it down the road. Thanks

  • i have a question, if i just put longer leaf spring shackles on my rear do i have to adjust anything else?

  • @redkingrd nope nothing else for the rear, to lift the front you tighten the torsion bolts.

  • @unicyclerider15 oh ok, i have a 97 explorer 4.0L v6 and the rear is sagging, i dont like how it looks so i'll just put longer shackles, thanks alot. your truck looks great

  • @redkingrd Just replace your springs.

  • lift looks sick! i wanna lift my explorer sooo bad!

  • @cmuslake thank you much! hope you can lift yours!

  • nice explorer man, i got 1 too. im guna lift it soon and put some huge tires on it.

  • @xCOUGARxAH cool what year? there arent really any huge lifts for second gen explorers, and they are expensive unless you do it my way, but there is the sas option but you have to be a good mechanic and it costs alot to do it.

  • @unicyclerider15 its a 98 v6 not 4x4 but im lookin for a 3 or 4 inch lift on it, i gotta friend who knows how to do the lfting and all i just need to come up with the cash.

  • @unicyclerider15 its a 98 v6 not a 4x4, im lookin for a 3 or 4 inch body lift. i can do the rear shackles but idk where to find the whole body lift at, i got a friend whos guna help me out with it, i just need the cash. let me know

  • Great lookin size lift and explorer over all.

  • @linkthemain thanks yours is nice too. gonna lift yours?

  • @unicyclerider15 I prolly will evemtaully, I just added it on my list of things to do :D

  • where did you get ur lift and how much was it? cuz all called around and they said they are 2000 and there difficult to put on cuz of the gas tank.

  • @HUSKERPOWER99 no thats wrong, i called suspension shops where i live and they said the same thing. a super lift kit is pretty expensive and they are not to great, but mine is under $300, check out explorer forum. its shackles, torsion bar adjustment, and a 3" ranger body lift. and its not too hard to do/figure out yourself if you have any mechanical skills.

  • @unicyclerider15 where did you get urs at

  • @HUSKERPOWER99 i made my shackles but you can buy shackles online, and it is a ranger body lift PA883 from suspenionconnection(.)com for like $180

  • i had problems with rear bumber.. cause its a ranger body lift..

  • @joshuanel18 yeah same here, my bumper is just taken off, i was making my own mounts for it but i welded them backwards, (i didn't think it through) so i cut them up re welded them and they still didnt fit and now they are all cobled up lol. i need to try to fabricate some new ones or make a rear tube bumper.

  • dood u realize u got 31 not 33 i saw ur other vid u commented u had 285/75/16 the 75cm=31inch tires and that's nothing that's stock for Chevy so that's why ford sucks.hell i got 265 75 r16 dunlop a/t stock and there better

  • @1994gmctruck first of all id like to say look it up before you say stuff. they are 33" according to the couragia website they are like 33.9. and other sources on google also say 33". and my m/ts get way better grip then your dunlop ats. just because mine aren't name brand doesn't mean mine somehow get less grip then some ats. im not bein mean im just saying how can you think your stock ats are better?

  • thanks man i appreciate it a ton

  • hey man i sent you a message about the lift, i have a 98 too and i really need a kit, please message me back asap with it on get ot me on here thanks man

  • @smithsharks i will send you the links

  • @unicyclerider15 here is my email dchanratty@aol.com

  • @unicyclerider15 thanks man.

  • @hanratty450 well apparently youtube nolonger lets you post links on comments so no one else can see it. i will try to send them to you in a message, if it doesn't work, message me your email.

  • @unicyclerider15 how much did your whole lift cost in total, im iterested doing it myself

  • @hanratty450 id also like to point out that the body lift comes with alot of extra parts you don't use and i didn't need to lengthen my fuel neck i just pulled it up.

  • @unicyclerider15 its a 95 2door automatic..... my only conser is the steering doesnt that have to be exstended

  • @hanratty450 some people don't even put the steering extension on because it will reach stock, i think it is still put the one on that comes with the kit just because. i need to go but i will send you the link later if i remember right the you will need a slightly different kit then mine because yours was older but i will find a link for you soon!

  • can you give me the link for to same body lift. thanks

  • @hanratty450 yep i sure can. what is your year, and is it automatic?

  • @xtremeno7 they lasted quite a while, (about 6 months) but i was rough on it. i recommend doing it, its cheap, its not a big lift but you can tell at first. i recommend getting an allignment afterwards. also the PA885 ranger body lift is not too hard to do.

  • how are those tires in the mud? i got a set of 35s i can buy for 900 but idk if there shitty

  • @DAVIDHERNANDEZ7070 they do great in mud! are they the ones for the 20" wheels? are they new? because i got mine brand new with mounting, balancing, and tax for $700.26

  • @unicyclerider15 yea i leveled the truck and im putting them on the stock rims because i dont have enough to buy new rims but after winter im gonna get the xd wheels

  • @DAVIDHERNANDEZ7070 nice! those are some sick rims, what type of truck do you have?

  • @DAVIDHERNANDEZ7070 i got a 2006 dodge 1500 with a k&n intake, and flowmaster single in dual out before the tires, leveling kit. and soon to be mts...

  • Uploaded on my birthday, nice work done to your truck. your back bumper has 2 bolts on each side it shouldn't be to hard to hack some metal and drill holes to relocate it or get ahold of performance accessories and tell them you need rear bumper brackets for the 91=94 explorer because its the same mount setup in the rear and at least they made them for the 1st gen.

  • @X92Exploder i will have to remove my hitch assembly to get to the bolts, i was gonna do it the other night but it was getting dark and i was being lazy, lol. just so i don't have to take off the hitch assembly i was thinking about grinding off the bolts and welding it back to the frame but higher, i'll probably mess it up. i will probably try drilling and relocating first, then brackets if that doesn't work. by the way im gonna make a skid plate and tube bumper in the next couple weeks.

  • looks nice...ist it a 4x4 or AWD

  • @bcronce16 AWD

  • @unicyclerider15 how much of a lift do u have on it

  • @bcronce16 two inch suspension lift and three inch body lift. however suspension is starting to sag again.

  • @unicyclerider15 where did you find your body lift? i have a 01 xlt and cant find any body lifts

  • @dirtclay I believe it is PA883 you can buy it on many online parts stores. it was performance accesories brand, its like $165 i think! It says its made for a ranger but don't let this shock you it will work! the bumper brackets can be a pain! and the radiator brackets will give you grief, or they can, but just keep working with it, i had to bend my brackets to fit them in the small space and cut a little piece of plastic of the radiator.
