What Beyonce and Gaga do while singing is not real dancing, it is not as hard and well choreographed nearly as well as Britney's dances. So of course she's going to struggle with singing live when she's actually dancing so much.

@PleaseSupportMiley Single Ladies is extremely choreographed. Not only is it well choreographed but they did it in one take while filming the video.

@thefloacist Yes, but when Beyoncé performs live she doesn't sing while she's doing most of the movements, she leaves that duty to her background singers, she only sings the verses.

@NausAllien Which is better than nothing. Example, Britney sang a decent portion of the Letterman 2001 performance. She could easily do that all the time. That way it doesn't look completely fake. When it looks like you're miming to the CD it just looks bad.

Wow this was actually live. Yet barely, only her verses were live, which sucked, she was off key and out of tune. ( dont tell me you cant sing and dance, beyonce who i hate does it.) Then the chorus and the rest of the song was purposely over emphasized by the backup singers to drown out Britney's live vocals.

beyonce doesn't really dance and sing, when she is dancing she doesn't even hold the mic up to her mouth, she drops it by her side and dances, then she sings one or two words and dances some more, britney is trying to sing every note and dance at the same time, it is different.

thank god somebody noticed! i definitely agree...nobody sings and dance at the same time...lady gaga and beyonce only do a whole bunch of booty shaking, theres no real choreography there.

No, it definitely isn't. The first time was on March 8, 2000 at her Pensacola, FL performance. This video was in May 2000.

@thefloacist She had been performing OIDIA from a couple a months before this performance, during her Crazy 2K Tour. Maybe it's the first performance on TV, but I think she performed before in Total Request Live and SNL.
