I think everyone knows ADTR by now and hipsters are sore about that. CYE is still relatively small next to most bands so they have a lot of ADTR's old angrier fans. ADTR music has changed people but that doesn't mean it's bad. Their music is catchy relative and has breakdowns why do you spite yourself?

there are actually my two favorite bands, but i met ADTR and i could tell just by the way they were then that they were and still are in it for the music, they don't care if people buy their music or download it, they just want to be heard, and they always stand up for their fans, and they make some pretty kick ass music, CYE stays true to what they believe in and they aren't trying to use their beliefs as a business tactic

ADTR has been poppy since they started. . .stop trying to pretend like they sold out. Having hung with them I can tell you they are for real. They are nothing but grateful to the fans that have gotten them this far too. We are lucky to have a band with cool genuine people get big for once.

CYE is so much better than ADTR. At least now. ADTR used to be great and then then, once they reached their goal, they forgot about to music. Close Your Eyes has yet to disappoint.

Close Your Eyes stayed true to themselves going from WWO to Empty Hands...love them for that, and awesome dudes. Im not here to bash ADTR but they are in it for the fame and forgot about the music. nothing beats CYE recorded OR live.

@gbpackers0435 i hate when people say that. thats not true. if they were in it for fame, they'd sound way different. they still have three "heavy" (i say that in quotes for a reason) on the new album. bands change sounds, its a way of maturing. and maybe you didnt like the way adtr matured, but its how good bands go. any band can just keep farting out the same ol sounding music all the time.

@gbpackers0435 i'd have to disagree because adtr never wanted to be a harder band so they stuck with the pop punk they wanted to do, which is why i think people say they went softer or why they changed there music. im just saying this because i think what your getting at with them wanting fame had to do with there new album
