Susun Weed Comfrey and Skin Care

If you have the hybrid comfrey and it does not set seeds, how do you get it? Is it only by root plantings? How does it "spread"? One root planted in the ground makes one plant, that's it?? I always see videos of huge comfrey patches... were they all root plantings?

I'm so confused, please help me understand. I can't wait to have comfrey planted in my yard. I think it's a must have. Period.

Comfrey will spread by it roots or by leaves. Plant one root and then when it gets larger, run over it with a lawnmower! I told my husband not to, but he did, and now there are huge Comfrey plants everywhere!! Be warned, they get huge !!

Is the comfrey you have the same variety as "Bocking 14:? Or symphytum officinale?

I have a few packs of true Comfrey seeds.

Should I still be able to safely use it for Poultices ?

Don't give homeland security any ideas...lol! Does anyone know where to purchase bocking 4 comfrey? I hear it makes great animal feed for chickens and pigs.

Exactly exactly exactly. I love everything this woman puts out. I am progressing my way through different herbs and in a year or so I will get on to the comfery plants (I have borage growing in the garden and i believe that is a member of the comfrey family), bu until then I will continue working with the current plants so I can learn as much as possible. I don't want to rush things.
