great album, the disappearing boy too. these were re-issued on cd; re-issue of bob the birdman was announced but dudn't happen. i like what he did later on too, he's a great singer with a voice that stands out and a good sense of humour. albeit in the sydney area, i think he's still going strong.
i saw him sing live (to a tape) in rotterdam 1980 where he was filling in between acts. he was given his own stage and show later in the afternoon, because of his instant appeal. long live duffo !
I was his keyboard player / songwiriting partner for 3 years or so - and yes he is a genius. I played on The Disappearing Boy, Bob the Birdman and Lexicon.
Song's called 'give me back me brain' (not 'my brain') and it's by Australian singer Jeff Duff, who at the time was trading under the name Duffo. Duff returned to Australia not long after and is still active today.
I remember buying this back in 1979! It only reached number 60 in the UK charts but there was quite a bit of publicity about Duffo during that time; he appeared on the Old Grey Whistle Test in '79 in a straightjacket (apparently!) - would be great to see it posted on here if anybody has it!
Ha ha, duffo, only in the bloody 80's!

Weird character. Almost like Shrink. I do prefer Shrink's music though.
