r u using linux? i use lmms in ubuntu and all u need 2 do is extract the superwave files to the vst folder and open vestige in a beat/bassline track and choose the superwave dll and save the settings...
I love this little tune! I could see it being used for TV intros or something. The synth being offset by acoustic bossa groove really gives it some taste!!
How frustrating, I have no audio on YouTube all the sudden. Everything else sounds fine; I've just been listening to people's postings on the Ardour forum. Can you post a link there?
This is a whole group of applications running on the Linux operating system. Click "more" in the "about this video" box for the list. The applications and the operating systems are all free. Try Googling "Ubuntu Studio". This package includes the OS and most of the apps.
Oh boy! Heh! Man, yeeeeaaaahhhhh... This is an admirable effort. It's a little repetitive, and ends kind of suddenly... but great song overall. I, too, use LINUX to make music.
The people want you to compile it into one single software suite. They dont wanna have install the 6 individual programs :-P.
If I were hardcore, I'd do that myself. Alas, I am not hardcore, though I wish to someday be so. I like it, I feel like trying to copy it for my friends mixing needs. He's bomb with music but he's noob with computers and software.
@christoph2005: Hi, you don't need to compile anything. May I recommend that you try Ubuntu? You can then easily install all these applications without compiling them. Just a suggestion if you're interested in trying linux (the easy way)...
Hi, is this like pro-tools? My band are doing some home recording, we'd invest in the mic input desk if we can record and mix the drums (and everything else after!) on ardour!
Those wanting to check out Linux audio stop by the LAU { Linux Audio Users } huge data base stored at Stanford { CCRMA }. Ubuntu-Studio is a release for the arts { graphics, audio + general work station}.
Same as Cochese, your vids have also inspired me to move my studio stuff over to linux, last time i tried audio on OSS was years ago in the days of Brahms, looks like things have come a long way since then :)
I messed up with youtube commands and deleted a comment, sorry for that! Just wanted to say to people asking more songs that Latin_groove is available for listening :)
The hardest thing with Linux is VST support, but you can do that! :-)
The greatest thing is Jack audio mixer, it's definitely great! Maybe I'll post a video showing the cross-connection features between various audio and MIDI devices

There are several programs:
- drumming: hydrogen
- midi sequencer: rosegarden
- arp sound: synth1 VST
- lead sound: minimogueVA VST
- bass sound: superwave P8 VST
- mastering software (showing in te video): ARDOUR for Linux
You just can look in Google for that (I cant remember each url :D )

I use Reaper with wine, even bought it. It makes VST business easier than anything else, imo.
