This cover is not as bad as people make out. Okay the original captured the emotion of the Bloody Sunday atrocity beautifully; but I think Hayley has somehow managed to pull it off, its still miles worse than U2 but for a cover its not that bad. There are far far worse covers out there! At least this did the original some justice!!

How many years has it been since they created this cover? Well to end all of the pointless arguments, I must say that U2 did have a sense of rage/passion for their meaning of the song. Paramore payed tribute by taking it and creating a sympathetic tone for their understanding of the song. They may both share lyrics but are two different tales. And they are both great songs! Just in different ways. Now shut up and listen to the music.

In the original, you could feel the utter rage, disgust of British troops gunning down innocent civiians in Northern Ireland. That song had passion and a call to arms. It was raw, filled with a sense of sorrow and outrage. Old U2 (not the media ho's of today) had a masterpiece!

As for this song, well........this band, "Paramore", really had no business remaking this song. All the meaning, passion is totaly lost. It sounds any other, prissy, whiney indie rock song.
