@bobo784, I disagree, I think a conversation purely about the art is quite refreshing amongst the reams of ordinary interviews that normally get done.
This interview is so dull and dry. I think they were trying to accomplish something like "The Actor's Studio," but this was neither moderated nor was it directed into the right path. How can you not ask about the artist, if her music reflects so much of who she is. Although I like some of her songs, I'm not really a fan, but would have liked some more insight as to what kinda person she is.
I always thought the whole point of her art was a reflection on who she really is. I don't think that sentence quite made sense but I hope you know what I mean. That's why the point of the interview was to ask about her art, not herself directly.
why is he not wearing shoes? god this whole thing is so collegiate and vomit-worthy. We listen to Fleet Foxes, Dirty Projectors, BAROQUE LUTES! How unique!
reggaeton song??? what??? If I had the chance to ask something to joanna newsom, i would go a little deeper OMG... theres so many things so intriguing, whats her religious vision, what does she think about motherhood, is she gonna have some music video?, explain us your fahion style, can I live in a tree with you? I mean,... Im just so jealous

Can't believe college students (probably music majors) clap for the Smiths and not Hella! Typical!

@tammy2dicks a somewhat boring and pretensious response to a stimulating Q&A.
