My drives are wayy different from yours. I have the ball in front of me further away with my feet spread a foot apart. Than I take a step as the I lift my stick, and as I swing I use my hips to drive the ball. My hits make it pretty far down the field, and are the hardest on my team. I don't know what works for you, but for the new players watching this video, you should try both techniques.

In my opinion it is a very good sport and the best!(I've been playing for 7 years... I'm only 14) but anyway, good sport, good video and don't hate on field hockey.

your footwork for a drive is totally wrong and a push pass should start at your back foot as you drag it with you, make sure you have these things right before posting a video of how to.

pretty sure you missed the ball with your attempt to 'drive' it....perhaps you shouldn't be the one to instruct people on hockey. Furthermore, the slap shot is an ice hockey shot and has little use on the field hockey pitch. Your team mate will either be close enough to push pass the ball or far enough away to hit it.
