urban radio was really good in the early 1980s. this was uplifting music so it wasn't r&b because it wasn't "blue" or sad.

Brooklynvjg: I'm glad someone else remembers who wrote this. I did too and I hadn't heard this for years. Met Joel Bryant, and Darnell Jordan (and the Stylistics) in the UK, when they were touring way back in the 80s. Do you still see Darnell? I'd love to say "Hi".

My ex-husband use to play drums for The stylistics, and I got to see them up close and personal, and they were/are great!
This song is on my all time fav. list and it was written by two friends "Buddy" Joel Bryant, and Darrnell Jordan. "It's Only Love', from this album is the bomb!
