Hey awesome compilation!!!! For anyone interested in unreleased 1980's music fresh off the quarter inch analog reel, then type in L.A. Ryder "We're the Outcasts" in the search box and rock like it's 1981!
I watched all 3 parts and didnt see-Black Sabbath(after Ozzy),Dokken,Iron Maiden,Pretty Boy Floyd,Hanoi Rocks,Every Mothers Nightmare,Junkyard,Thor,Mamas Boys,KIck Axe,Lita Ford,Jetboy,Rock Goddess<Shotgun Messiah,Bullet Boys
My 'Best 80's metal songs' (no favourites) 1.Hungry For Heaven - DIO 2.Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions 3.Rock The World - Stryper 4.Shake Me - Cinderella 5.Heaven And Hell - Black Sabbath 6.Paradise City - Guns 'n' Roses 7.Back Alley Driver - Rainbow 8.Live Wire - Motley Crue 9.Over The Moutain- Ozzy Osbourne 10.For Those About To Rock - AC/DC 11.Living After Midnight - Judas Priest 12.School Daze - W.A.S.P. 13. Wrathchild - Iron Maiden Fuck it,there's too many to name!!
You have Judas Priest & Saxon in this video, but no Iron Maiden (they are also very popular in 80's), you don't have Wrathchild, Seduce & Hanoi Rocks (the first 3 Glam metal bands), where is Dokken and why is there no Extreme, how about Steelheart or Gorky Park (you don't like Slavic People?), X Japan, London, Shotgun Messiah, The Quireboys, early Pantera, Tuff, Tigertailz or Yngwie Malmsteen?
@PetarBrc Some points made are true - Dokken and Iron Maiden should be there with Hanoi Rocks and Gorky Park. Malmsteen seemed to have appeared with Alcatrazz as far as I understood. And what about the lovely Lita Ford? On a sidenote, 80s all-girls-rockbands such as Femme Fatale or Vixen featured women who (at least at that point in time) were so hot, there should be a law against being that hot ))) - my face just melted!
Wtf! Only hair metal bands and a few heavy metal bands/artists. What happened to the variety? Hair/Heavy/Power/Progressive/Speed/Thrash/Doom/Death Metal as it supposed to be in the 80's.
Seriously...I just went through all three vids. The deeper you went, the more no name they were and Ozzy got stuck in with this group? No Skid Row, no Motorhead, no Bad Company? Thanks for the effort but you fell short.
TOP JOB!-1.you can show why M.T.V got so huge. 2.It shows the genre of auditorium bands.(with stadium ambitions)-
##25-30years on all strategys shown (performances wise)is very common a strategy for commercial minded bands.-want 20 000 happy with 2000.####
Overall very good- as teens back then we couldn't see the money aspect behind anything, we just saw the christians and right wing moral majority up in arms!
@metal220 Don't think it is available on DVD, but check out the Metal Music Video Player on The Great 80s Website for the next best thing. The link to the website is in the description

Jamie St. James(Black N Blue) is Warrant's new singer. Early OPantera was hair Metal. Great compilation. The only band I didn't recognize was Rose Tatto. You still missed Lta Ford, Stage Dolls, Bullet Boys and Tyketto. If you added Triumph, you might as well added Boston and The Sweet. The original Ballroom Blitz. Loved this presentation!!!
well I guess I can't complain about some other bands that were left out since I know some aren't on this site anymore. Hell some I can't even remember their names.

Also, I think Warrant changed singers again. I believe Robert Mason is now their lead singer.

Jani has his own band anyway,..and they sound more like Warrant than Warrant without Jani. Saints Of The Underground.

Hmm i think by this video (part 3) you must have been running out of decent bands.
Enjoyed seeing Queensryche included on the list, but was judas Priest really hair metal? i think not, how fit was the lead of femme fatal though!

Judas Priest cuz they are hard Rock/Metal
