@donSparda well funny you should mention that, dave offered his services to testament when their drummer left, i think. chuck billy turned round and said shit!!!! lombardo wants to do an album with us!? he played on the entire album called 'the gathering'. Later i think chris kontos former Machine Head drummer joined them for a bit too. so in short yes, it is Dave Lombardo on drums.

I remember this band from the 80s. Although this album came much later. I remember this album specifically for 2 reasons.

1) It was their hardest ever album at the time (may still be).

2) It has Dave Lombardo from Slayer on drums on this album. Although I don't think he toured with Testament for this album tour.

He likes to keep to himself and he didnt say much. I did hang with Chuck and James Murphy but thats about all I can say about that.

Lombardo does a really god job for this album, funny though how he Slayer and Testament trade off drummers for a few albums. Soon after this album Lombardo actually joined a band with Millie Petroza from Kreator, and Chuck Schuldiner from Death in a band called Voodoo Cult. Unfortunately, they did not do a very good 2 albums for that band, even considering the members it had.

Not really THE Testament line-up, but something bound to be good just had to come out of a Testament including James Murphy, Dave Lombardo and Steve DiGiorgio. Jesus christ. Thrash-metal all-stars right there. Too bad DiGiorgios bass aint put more upfront in the mix. But they fill out the guitars heaviness nevertheless.
