You know what I really think makes a game a classic, the music. When you're playing a classic game, the music sets the tone and feeling for each part of the game.
@hpotter103 Yeah, imagine the death of Aerith without the music, it would be as effective as it was in making people tear up xD The fact that the song keeps playing even when fight Jenova makes it even more powerful.
The part of this game I really like the most is the OST. I'd have probably enjoyed the whole more without the button-pressing bit at the end of Reactor 5 and the fact that the camera in the Train Graveyard made it impossible to tell where I could go. Maybe I should try giving it another shot...
@NerfedFalcon i recently started playin ff7 again. I just want to go through the storyline again so i use a walkthrough if i get stuck at stupid stuff like the train graveyard. Im using an emulator so i can speed up the ez battles to 10x as fast. So i get to skip through all the weak stuff.
I love this song. It's so eery, and I first heard it in a JackSpicer2311 machinima series. (Forgive me for advertising it, but it was a very good series.)

Nobuo Uematsu did a terrific job on FFVII, making such an immersive soundtrack within the limitations of the PS' sound processor.

And so from seeing this video, my theory has been proven, music IS better with low-pitched piano notes.

There's an oil refinery near one of the roads at home. Every time i pass that oil refinery, i start humming this to myself. :p
