so glad you liked the film. However, I'm just going to point out that your use of the word "fag" is as prejudiced as anything in the film. People throw that word around, especially high school kids....and it's a mean word at it's heart. It offends a certain subculture of people. Oh, of course! Everyone in this film was amazing, in front of AND behind the camera. I loved Howard's performance because of the personal anguish he was able to convey on camera. Here he was an intelligent, gifted, successful young man who has risen to the top, but he feels trapped in his own skin by the negative connotations and stereotypes that go along with being black in America, and that no matter what he accomplishes, he will always feel this way. He portrayed this pain masterfully!
