Mt 24:29-30 Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

How to 'get ready'?

Pray, read the Word daily (study it carefully, don't skim it! It's the Word of GOD!), fast, get clean from sins and from the world's influence (e.g., TV is an especially big worldly influence), repent daily, pray for spiritual blessings and not just material ones, glorify and praise the LORD in your heart! "Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually." 1 Chron 16:11

well i still have lots of doubts concerning the trib. its a fact that da bible says the faihtful will meet the Lord in the air but then revelation tells us many will be beheaded for not worshiping the beast. i guess some will only convert after and if the rapture occurs. thats the only explanation plausible i believe.

there will be people left behind, that will only come to believe in Christ after they see their family, friends, relatives, or co-workers dissapear. Jesus will rapture His bride-He paid for her, so God no longer pour His wrath on Jesus' Bride. But He will pour His wrath of the unsaved. But after the rapture, the cost of believing in Jesus will cost people their lives. So, the argument that pre-trib does not exist is found in the Bible and it is warned against! So, get ready for Jesus' return!

Many of the Jews missed Jesus Christ because He didn't come the way they expected. It didn't change the fact that Jesus is the Christ and through Him prophecy was fulfilled.
